Better Business Bureau serving Greater Maryland has been named Best Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Provider according to a poll conducted by The Daily Record. The publisher received nearly 1,600 responses to surveys across all categories including entertainment, business, healthcare, law and technology. BBB serving Greater Maryland is also currently celebrating its 100th year in Baltimore.
Angie Barnett, BBB president and CEO, remarked, “BBB is committed to what’s fair. Our mediators and arbitrators are professionally-trained, highly experienced men and women, who, much like our staff, give of their time and talent, because they like helping resolve difficult issues among businesses and their customers.”
Last year, BBB serving Greater Maryland provided the second most ADR in the BBB system. So far this year, the organization has outpaced all others with 194 sessions offered. The majority of cases heard this year fall into the category under BBB AUTOLINE, a program that allows consumers and participating auto manufacturers to address “lemon law” disputes about recurring problems affecting qualifying vehicles.
“Dispute resolution has been a core service of Better Business Bureau for many decades, so we are delighted that the readers of The Daily Record recognize just how well BBB serving Greater Maryland serves their needs,” said Katherine Hutt, BBB national spokesperson. “It is always our goal to have businesses and customers work out their differences amicably but, if they cannot, we are here for them with trained mediators and arbitrators to provide assistance,” she added.
