As of September 6, 2008 the BBB has received 36 complaints concerning Baltimore Chrome & Polishing, Inc., 30 of which have gone unanswered by the company. Complainants generally allege that they left deposits, or paid the company in full to have work performed, but that after many months of excuses, the work was either not completed or not done at all. Some consumers reported having left valuable vehicle parts at the company for refinishing which they could not get the company to return. Complaintants also generally allege Baltimore Chrome & Polishing representatives did not return phone calls or were rude on the occasions consumers could reach them. Some consumers who showed up in person at the company to recover their parts and to request refunds, stated they were not allowed to see their parts or to recover them, and were told the company's policy was "no refunds, store credit only." They report they were told they would have to contact the owner of the company to request a refund. According to the MD Dept. of Assessments & Taxation, Ronald I. Kurland is the Resident Agent for the company.
