ONE MAIN is a complete FRAUD! They do all this false advertising then talk you into a hard inquiry on your credit to only give you a very high interest rate and refinance for the same exact rate or higher for longer terms to swindle more money from you. They never give what is advertised!! They have zero incentives and do not give loyal customers no benefits. Do not ever take a loan with them and definitely do not use collateral!!! They were supposed to call me back on a Thursday, they never did. I called back to follow up on the next week multiple times and there was always an excuse, first time they said that the system was down, second that would call back and never did, 3rd one that she was going on a meeting and hanged up, and 4th no answer. Opened May 19, 2021. I paid the agreed payments through August 2022. I then realized the amount was much higher than originally signed for, and included products I did not agree to include in my loan. When I contacted them, I was told that I did agree to these products in the store, which I did not. I ceased payment and have been filing disputes since, with no luck. The company has only offered me payment settlements in which I still refused to pay because I do not owe that amount. Recently found out about a settlement for this issue and customers that have also had the same issue. I filed in the settlement on behalf of CFPB, which is awaiting response from One Main. One Main has now charged off the account, but is illegally reporting an incorrect balance of different amounts on my credit reports. A charge off will also mean I need to file this canceled debt as income. However, One Main failed to provide me with a 1099C (required by law for charge-offs) to do so. I have called One Main several times and been given runaround answers with no resolution. I have filed the settlement claim with CFPB and disputes with each credit bureau.OneMain Financial Group, LLC Response

The OneMain Financial located in *********, MD sucks. The customer service experience was as follows: 1. The customer representative(s) did not have the knowledge of what I was requesting and where to retrieve it. I only requested for my original loan documents. That should have been easy since it was originated in 2018. 2. Because customer service representative(s) didn't have the knowledge of where and how to obtain these documents, the representative got an attitude, made an impolite noise and put me on hold without my knowledge. The next thing a manager came on the line, which was much more intense and the treatment was rude and disrespectful. She made negative verbal comments relating to the length of my loan which was for 5 years. This happened on 4/17 around 10:00am EST. Then she made a comment stating I didn't understand in a very nasty, aggressive, and negative manner. Then she started to play games and act as if she couldn't hear me after stating that she was going to disconnect. 3. I had to contact the central location which may be Headquarters to obtain the documents I originally requested. It didn't even take 5 minutes over the phone to request and/or obtain the documents. The experience was much more pleasant and I was able to obtain what was requested. 4. Additionally, the branch in *********, MD has outdated technology. You have to go in for everything. The customer representative(s) told me that I had to come in the office in order to obtain historical documents from 2018 in which I should be able to retrieve online. I can retrieve historical documents from many other banking institutions online. 5. The integrity of the ********* branch location is not there and I no longer trust them. I will pay off my bill sooner versus later because of the negative treatment, etc. I will no longer do business with that location. The representatives are not intelligent enough to handle my needs and requests.OneMain Financial Group, LLC Response

New experience for me submitting paperwork. I am a non tech savvy person. The ladies were great in helping me navigate the pictures and paperwork required. Unlike previously experiences, the ladies helping me, had lots of patience with me, especially when they had to repeat numerous times how to do something.
