Birmingham-based online retailer Now That’s Legit does not seem “legit,” according to complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. BBB Serving Central & South Alabama has received 21 complaints on the business in the past three years, and the business’s current rating is an F. Complaints are from consumers located all over the United States, as well as some international complaints from Australia and United Kingdom. Complainants report ordering clothing from the online retailer nowthatslegit.com and never receiving their orders. Complainants also report that it is difficult to contact the business and that their attempts to contact them by phone, email and social media often go unanswered. Some complainants report getting responses from the business on their Instagram page @nowthatslegit with over 98k followers, but still never receiving their product or any further contact from the business. When BBB Serving Central and South Alabama successfully contacted the business last year, business-owner Kiara Horn explained that the business was experiencing issues with their manufacturer, but that the issue was resolved and the business planned on fulfilling previously unfulfilled orders and issuing refunds to the customers requesting them. Since then, 17 of the 21 complaints BBB has on file remain unresolved. BBB has received four complaints so far in 2018 and the website is currently down. BBB has attempted to contact the business regarding recent complaints and has received no response to date. BBB suggests you exercise caution when doing business with internet merchants. Research businesses online retailers prior to doing business with them, and always pay with a credit card so the charge can be disputed if needed.
