These businesses build trust, advertise honestly, tell the truth, remain transparent and honor their promises. Shining a spotlight on these organizations fits BBB’s mission to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. The awards bring attention to the practices that organizations employ to generate a high level of trust, among their employees, customers, and their communities. The Torch Award Application seeks information about six categories and leave room for businesses to showcase what makes them excel. Categories include:Ethics in LeadershipEthics in BusinessEthics in CultureEthics in OperationsEthics in ManagementEthics in the CommunityEligibilityThe Torch Award is open to for-profit organizations of all sizes physically located in New Hampshire. Firms need not be BBB Accredited to apply.ExclusionsA company is not eligible if any of the following conditions apply:They have been in business less than three years.They have earned less than a “B” rating from BBB.There are indications they have not met their financial obligations.They have been the recipient of the Torch Award in the past five years.They are a government agency. Government contractors can confirm their eligibility by contacting their local BBB.Three recipients in different size categories will be honored at the Bedford Village Inn on June 27 at 5:00 PM.
