BBB received over 7141 inquiries locally in 2017! BBB responded! The program evaluates organizations according to the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's 20 Standards for Charitable Accountability. Those standards and over 11,000 charity reports can be viewed at GIVE.ORG. Our local program is led by Barbara Levy ACFRE, FAFP, who is our Director of Charity Review. Assisting in the success is a power-packed Board consisting of thirteen non-profit leaders here in Southern Arizona which are listed HERE."In this day and age, it's vital to impress upon our community the credibility and accountability of the charities so vital to this community." ~Pam Crim, BBB CEO/President"I am thrilled that our local BBB is now offering our nonprofit sector the opportunity to gain such accreditation." ~Wendell Hicks, Executive Director for Southern Arizona Aids Foundation"I have spent a 45 year career fundraising in the not-for-profit sector and recognize the need for the public to be confident that their support is going to organizations that uphold ethical practice, financial transparency and governance that demonstrates accountability.
