DENVER, COLORADO– Better Business Bureau serving Denver/Boulder is alerting consumers to exercise caution when doing business with F-rated Pain Free Pillow, in response to a number of unanswered complaints submitted against the business. Complainants allege either that their specialty pillow orders never arrived, or that the company failed to provide promised refunds and exchanges for defective products. Pain Free Pillow has not responded to the six consumer complaints submitted to BBB since May 2017, the most recent of which was submitted on January 21, 2018. Consumers have submitted eight total complaints against the business. According to complainants, Pain Free Pillow sells its products both at trade shows in locations across the United States, and through the website www.painfreepillowusa.com.One complainant, who purchased her pillows at a home and garden show in Cleveland, OH, claims to have been informed that the products were covered by a “lifetime warranty.” However, the complainant alleges that after receiving damaged products and requesting replacements three times over several months, the business completely ignored her requests. Similarly, all eight BBB complainants allege that at some point while doing business with Pain Free Pillow, the company stopped responding to their contacts by phone, email, mail, and Facebook Messenger. Complainants say they originally attempted to contact the business for a variety of issues, including defective products and orders that were never received.Currently, the company’s website does not appear to have any information regarding a return policy or warrantee claims. However, the site does offer a form through which customers may request a replacement pillow. BBB reviewed corporate registrations filed with the Colorado Secretary of State’s office. That office reports that an entity named “painfreepillow pain free products” has been delinquent since February 2016. The report lists the business’s registered agent as Wade Nathaniel Gunn, a name that multiple BBB complainants reference when describing their interactions with the company even after its 2016 delinquency. BBB found no current corporate registration for entities named Pain Free Pillow, Pain Free Pillow USA, painfreepillowusa.com, or any variant of those names. BBB has been unable to locate a business address for Pain Free Pillow. The “painfreeillow pain free products” delinquent registration listed a residential property in Lakewood as its address. However, a complainant in 2016 provided a business address for the company, which is that of an apartment building in Denver’s Highland neighborhood. More recently, in January 2018, a complainant alleged that after contacting the business online regarding a return, she was instructed to send her pillows to a residential address in Arvada (the complainant says she did so but never received the refund she was promised). Complainants also claim that Pain Free Pillow has sold its products at shows in Alabama, Ohio, Florida, and Connecticut. Pain Free Pillow has yet to respond to an email BBB sent to HELP@PAINFREEPILLOW.COM, which is the only contact information the business offers online. This is the email address that the company has previously used to communicate with BBB, most recently in February 2017. In its email, BBB requested that the business clarify its location and provide proof of its corporate registration. BBB offers consumers several tips for smart online shopping, and encourages consumers to read complaints and reviews of Pain Free Pillow on the company’s BBB Business Profile.
