Your customers probably aren’t the first people that come to mind when you think about Valentine’s Day, but they should be! Or at least a close second. Holidays like Valentine’s Day make for a great opportunity to show your customers that you care about them, and appreciate their business. Here are 5 easy ways to show your customers you care on Valentine’s Day: 1. Feature a customer on your social media channels. If you have a success story with a client, or someone who was simply satisfied with your product or services, ask them to share their experience with others. Ask them to put it in writing, and share it on your social media platforms along with a picture of the client, or the work you did for them. 2. Offer a discount, special package, or freebie. People love discounts and free stuff! Consider putting together a special Valentine’s Day package of some sort; it can be a discount for couples, or even something special for Mom or Dad. You can also consider giving out a free gift when customers buy your services or products in bulk. 3. Make check-in calls. Do you have long-standing customers or clients that you’ve done repeat business with? Consider stopping by their house, place of business, or even just picking up the phone to say thank you. 4. Send a card or letter. If you don’t have time to call or stop by, consider putting something in writing. It can be as simple as a thank you card, postcard, or even a valentine. Handwritten notes go a long way! In fact, studies show that handwritten notes have a deeper impact on the receiver than something that is typed. So get to writing! 5. Food. Need I say more? Everyone loves food. If your business has a storefront, put out sweets or other tasty Valentine’s Day treats in your waiting or lobby area. If your business is on the road or at home, consider leaving your customers with something as simple as a piece of chocolate. Remember, don’t limit yourself to Valentine’s Day! Let your customers know you appreciate them all year long to boost consumer confidence and keep them coming back.
