BBB\n Serving Coastal Carolina is currently recruiting arbitrators \nfor our Dispute Resolution and BBB Autoline Programs for the following \ncounties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, New Hanover, Pender, Robeson, Sampson, Williamsburg. Arbitration hearings are conducted during the work\n day at the BBB offices in Conway,SC and take approximately two hours. Our\n Dispute Resolution Program provides binding arbitration for complaints \nthat could not be resolved through our initial complaint conciliation \nprocess. Our BBB Autoline Program, which is administered nationally by \nthe Council of Better Business Bureaus, provides arbitration for \ndisputes involving motor vehicles that qualify under State Lemon Laws. All\n arbitrator candidates must complete training before becoming certified \nto conduct hearings. There is no charge for the training which will be \nheld in March 2018. Becoming certified is dependent upon completion of\n a series of web-based training modules, participation in a series of 4 \nconference calls, and passing a written assessment at the end of the \ntraining. Each conference call will require preparation and there are \nseveral exercises which form a part of the course. In total, the \ntraining can be completed within 15 hours over a two-week period (approximately 5 hours of this time is spent in self-study).
