The Better Business Bureau ® of the Upstate South Carolina is warning consumers to use caution when doing business with Spartan Fencing, LLC. Consumers allege they contract with owner, Matthew Fowler, for fence installations, pay deposits and set a date to begin installation, but as the days pass, consumers installation dates come and go. The consumers mention that they continue to call Mr. Fowler but remain frustrated that their calls continue to be ignored.A review of the company’s file shows a pattern of complaints letter was sent to Mr. Fowler concerning the consumer’s allegations. The BBB did not hear back from Mr. Fowler concerning the pattern of complaints. BBB President, Vee Daniel, contacted Mr. Fowler in an effort to resolve the allegations and eliminate the pattern of complaints. Mr. Fowler stated that Mrs. Daniel shouldn’t worry that he is going to issue refunds and make it right with all the consumers by the end of following week. The consumers and BBB waited patiently for the end of next week to come. Fortunately, the BBB followed up with some consumers who received their refunds but unfortunately, four of the consumers remain frustrated that they haven’t heard from Mr. Fowler nor received their refunds.
