Columbus, Ohio – Better Business Bureau® (BBB) Serving Central Ohio's Center for Character Ethics® celebrated its 2017 Torch Awards for Ethics℠ annual program this afternoon. The recipients were honored at an event luncheon held at the Ohio State University, Ohio Union on Tuesday, November 14. Five organizations were selected as recipients of the prestigious 2017 Torch Awards for Ethics."These businesses have stood out as being very intentional about exceeding marketplace standards for ethics. Additionally, they have all conveyed the importance of the process to apply and evaluate themselves against the six Principles of Trust,” said Kip Morse, President & CEO of BBB serving Central Ohio. The 2017 Torch Awards recipients are: Acloché, Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea, Echoing Hills, The Eco Plumbers and Ohio Basement Authority. Ten Students of Integrity Scholarship Recipients and future leaders from high schools throughout Ohio were also recognized during the event. This year’s Torch Awards program highlighted The Path to Trust, showcasing each step of the career path, starting with driven, ambitious young people who hope to make a difference in the world; looking forward to those in peak leadership positions, like entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs are continually fighting the good fight to see change and be the change, and they have always been inspired by those in pinnacle leadership roles: the Torch Awards recipients.
