On Oct. 3, 2017, Better Business Bureau received a report alleging Bay View Property Management contacted a consumer to purchase their timeshare. The consumer was told to wire funds to a bank account in Mexico as part of the transaction. The company was working with Escrow One, Inc. of Seattle as the acting escrow company. BBB has also received a copy of a purchase agreement from another consumer alleging Bay View Management, Inc. directed them to Benchmark Escrow, Inc., also allegedly out of Seattle. Investigators determined that Bay View Property Management, Escrow One, Inc., and Benchmark Escrow, Inc., are not licensed as a broker or property manager in Washington. The locations of the businesses have also been found to be untrustworthy. As a result of the investigation, all three companies reflect an F rating with BBB. To avoid scams such as these be mindful of any company that asks you to wire them money, especially when they are paying you for a product or service.
