The worst experience ever. I took my victrola in with the long play and cassette playing in working condition. THe only thing the shop was checking, was the CD function. Their website says they conduct free diagnostics but yet I was being charged $39.99 as the diagnostic fee. I decided to pay the fee and leave my player to get a diagnostic check. Two weeks later I received a call from their shop stating that the total cost to repair would be around $280. In shock I explained that the repair cost was way higher than what I paid for the victrola so at that point I preferred to pick it up and not have it repaired. Since the cassette and long play still worked, I was willing to live with that. When I returned home with my player, NOTHING worked anymore. At that moment I called the store to explain to them that my player had completely stopped working. The owner explained that his workers had not touched anything besides the CD player. But I explained that the dials were loose and I could pick them out of the player, which shows that someone had definitely tampered with other parts of the player. Even the lights that turned on are no longer working. The owner stated that no one had done anything to the player. He offered me the opportunity to take my player and have him fix the long play for a fee of course. I told him that I was very unhappy because I knew that my victrola didn't need that many repairs when I took it to him and now this special gift from my son was not working. He did not offer to check it again to see if maybe they had forgotten a step on putting it back together or any other kind of solution. Their website clearly states that they strive to help people by providing extraordinary service. Unfortunately I can not agree with that statement. I wish I had never come across this place being that I am not only out the diagnostic fee but I also had to replace and purchase a new Victrola.
