Got two package units installed by Scott heating and cooling on august 2021. When they initially installed the units they forgot to connect gas to one and forgot a condenser line. One of the units broke down in summer 2022 and txv valve was replaced under parts and labour warranty by Scott heating and cooling. The same unit then broke down in August 15 2023. I got three companies to come out and give me a diagnostic. ********, Scott and Total Air. ******* said the issue was the evaporator coil, Scott said the compressor and total air the Txv valve. I have a warranty with Scott so they replaced the compressor. While they were testing the unit I told the Scott techs I just received report from total air that the txv valve needed to be replaced and if they could check before filling with refrigerant. They disregarded my request and filled the unit. They then came down and told me the txv valve needs to be replaced. They said they would order the part and not charge me for this refrigerant refill. Three weeks went by I called 2-3 times a week and I was not getting an update on scheduling the repair. I tried the ask for the manager and I tried to call the owner directly they were seemingly avoiding my calls. I finally got an answer when I called back and was told by the office clerk that I would have to pay $1,100 for refrigerant and my labor warranty would not be honoured without a reason why. (Total air had quoted me $360 for refrigerant and I never got quoted an amount by Scott). I will have to pay another company to do the work as I have no faith and trust left in Scott heating and cooling. Not only did they void my labor warranty without explanation but they also left me hanging without ac for weeks in ***** summer with a newborn at home. If they would have told me weeks ago that they would not honor my warranty and if the owner would have accepted my call I would have gladly discussed the matter with him and paid another company then to have ac in my house.
