8/17/2023 I am extremely grateful for the technician **** ***** from Mechanical Technologies in trouble shooting and fixing the refrigerated air conditioner. I would recommend using this company for AC services. I have used this company over 10 years since I converted from AC to refrigerated. Having the yearly contract for maintenance service and troubleshooting is the way to go . Overall, they are knowledgeable and professional. Great response time .Review from Maria E J

My family were a loyal customer for 9yrs. My unit burned and my house almost caught fire. i called them to get another unit because the contract still had another year. The tech called in what he say and told me that carrier could not honor the contract. The tech then checked for repair info and told me that it would cost 3500.00 just to start and if the fan motor needed to be replaced it would be another 1000.00 or so. The whole unit burned out, the thermostat burned and the fuse was also burned out. The wall where the thermostat got scorched. MTI later wanted the condenser from the burned out unit. I told them the other installers took it away. **** ******* **** *** **** ***** ***** ********** They did not call to see how we are but they were worried about a burned out condenser for a credit from carrier. This company left me * ******** ****** ******** ** ******* ****** ** *** *** ** **** *** ***** *** *** ******* without air conditioning for about a week in the triple digit heat in June 2022. I too paid for a service agreement for those 9yrs and did also notice the 109.00 service call fee and that the parts not covered are the ones that are most likely to be needed for continued unit operations. I have not problem with their technicians it is the ownership. ***** ** *** **** ******* *** **** *** ****** * ** *** ****** **** ******* *** ****** This is way I got treated after 9ys of loyalty. I did not search for anything like this because i gave them the benefit of the doubt. * ** *** *** *** *** *** ***** **** ******* ** ** ******* *** * **** *** **** ******* *** *** **** ***** *********** **** ******* * ***** ** **** *** **** ********** ********** ** ** ******* ***** *** * **** *** **** *** **** ********** **** **** **** ***** ***Review from Jermaine W

This ******** ****** is regarding service and customer satisfaction from Mechanical Technologies, INC located at 211 N. Cotton El Paso, TX. On April 4th of this year, my wife paid a $280 maintenance ‘Silver Security Plan”. From there, my wife and I felt that our A/C was at optimal performance. Fast forward to today (June 24th), we call them to see if they can check on a leak we notice in our A/C unit. The female customer service representative told us that we had to pay upfront $109 for a trip fee plus parts and labor not covered under the “Silver Security Plan”. She did mention that any parts under the plan may be fixed free of charge. Our ********* is twofold: 1) The $109 trip fee want never mentioned to my wife. We felt that was a little suspect. 2) We feel that their service should have prevented the current leak issue we have. In short, we felt that there was a lack of transparency on what their maintenance plan covers and doesn't cover. Plus we felt that they will not be honest brokers if we decide to use their service.Review from Manuel D

I called this business to check on my packaged system not heating. The technician determined that the gas valve was not working, even though it had been replaced the year before by a different company. The repair cost over $500 and it didn't fix the problem, the tech exchanged the valve for another one and still no heater. At this time he suggested it might be the board and advised that the system was 13 years old and it would be better to replace it. He called the office and quoted $6100 for a replacement unit. I called the office the next day and requested an email with a written proposal specifying the work to be done and the details of the replacement unit, I was told it would be done that day (Friday). The following Monday, having not received anything. I called again and was told they had no record of my request and that they would get someone to get it done that day, I never received it. * ****** ******* ******* *** * ****** ******* *** ********** **** *** ********** ************ **** *** *** **** ***** ** ****** ******* *** ******** *** ***** ****** ** ********* **** ******* **** ******* ***** **** *** **** ***** ******** Apparently this business is OK with over charging customers for incorrect repairs and not having the decency to try to resolve the problem. Years ago I contracted this company to do a successful refrigerated air conversion on a prior residence, which was the reason I called them this time. I can no longer recommend, consider or respect this business again.
