              The moving company was hired to move all our household items out of our home in August 2021 and into storage. The company knew we were building a new home and it was still under construction. No move in date was set. We contracted the company to hold our belongings in storage until the new home was built and we had occupancy. A tentative move date was set for October, but we were very clear with the moving company that this was not firm. The home was only partially constructed. Oct 15 we received a phone call to schedule our move date. We still did not have a possession date from the home builder. The moving company put “November 1” as a placeholder in their booking system. We agreed to call back in Nov to update them. Nov 1 we received a call from the moving company. The moving truck was loaded, and had been dispatched to deliver our household items. However, they did not have a delivery address or confirmation from us. The truck drove around while the dispatcher tried to get ahold of us on the phone. We told them we still could not receive the items - our home is not finished and we do not have occupancy. The truck was sent back to the storage unit and all items were unloaded. The moving company has now sent us an invoice for $2000 (7.25 hours of labour and fuel charges). They are refusing to take any accountability for not confirming the delivery location or date with us. They failed to properly document and confirm the details of the move and now want us to pay for this costly mistake. We contracted them to manage these details and keep our belongings in storage. When they couldn’t reach us to confirm the move, they still proceeded to schedule it. They also changed the parameters of the contract without our consent, adding extra labour charges. They have not honoured our contract and are unfairly charging us for their poor management.

              Experience with this company was horrible after one of their employees was trying to stop me from checking their work and uttered racial slurs.After the bunk bed was assembled by them I noticed that the ladder was not secured properly and employee took offence that I was checking and trying to fix the issue myself. He did not offer to fix it himself and insisted on telling me that its installed properly and that I dont know anything about installing beds. I told him not to worry about it and that ** taking full responsibility of fixing the bed as I'm concerned for the safety of my kids. He walked away and cursed at me to his co-workers. He came back multiple times and spoke to me in a condescending way at which point I told him to stop being negative because its affecting everyone's morale and to let me check the bed alone. He got extremely upset and got in my face and started yelling and cursing at me so I told him to leave the house. On his way out his final words were "Go back to where you came from". I am a visible minority and this behavior is unacceptable.After they left I finally got a chance to check the bed just to find as I initially suspected it was not installed properly. Had anybody tried to climb or sleep on the top bunk it would have collapsed. Two of the screws were put in oversized holes and just left there not holding anything. I assume that individual was trying to stop me from checking just so I dont find that out. One of the other beds was missing a lot of hardware to put it together as well.I am a very calm and understanding person and I hate confronation but I was disrespected multiple times in my own home not to mention that every second word out of that individuals mouth was a curse no matter what the topic was. I'm glad my wife and kids weren't home at the time to have to listen to him.I hope this gets dealt with accordingly. It really only takes one bad apple to ruin a company's reputation.
