In April of 2021 we had vinyl plank installed by Vinton Carpets in Edmonton, AB. WE started having problems with the nosings of some of the steps within 2 to 3 weeks of installation, the edge of the nosings were splitting at the edges. When I phoned Vinton Carpets to tell them what was happening to our steps it took about 3 weeks to send someone to fix them. After a few months less than a year later one of the steps nosing started splitting again. I phoned Vinton Carpets several times and they did not return my calls so my husband and I drove to their show room and spoke to a manager who arranged for someone to come look at the step on the following Monday. The fellow showed up and looked at the step and said it wasn't an installation miskake the we must have dropped something on it. We felt we had no recourse so decided to have another Contractor come and redo all if the steps. During the installation of the new steps out new contractor found many issues, mistakes wirh the installation of the original steps. It cost us another$1870.00 to have our steps redone because of Vinton Carpets mistakes. Attaching a report from the second contractor.
