              My mother opened accounts with CWB when she was dying from cancer specifically because the accounts were set up to dispense the money to her children upon her death through survivorship, something that was specifically laid out in the account documents and promised to her in person with witnesses. Upon her death, they froze the accounts and refused to dispense the money, claiming incorrectly that probate must first occur in Calgary, which is false, as stated by the courts. Yet they refuse to dispense the money.

              The mortgage department and Canadian Western Bank is terrible. One person I particular.**** is his name and I don’t remember his last name. But I felt belittled by him when I talked to him on the phone about my mortgage rate. Basically in his words, the only reason why I have a mortgage with CWB is because my credit score it a little low right and he said that no one else would give me a mortgage so I better just shut up and take their rate for the year. That is not the way to speak to a customer.
