On January 15, 2023 my wife and I purchased a certified 2021 **** Explorer with ****** miles for $47,384. We drove over 300 miles to pick up the vehicle in Spokane. We were happy with the purchase process and the vehicle looked and drove like I would expect a certified vehicle to. The problems started the next day when we went to start the Explorer and it the battery was dead, we jumped it thinking that maybe we left the dome light on or something. This continued to happen any time the vehicle was not running for more than 4 hours. We contacted Corwin and they helped get it into a **** dealership in ******. That is were the Explorer has been for the last 98 days and at this point they still don't know what is wrong with it. The dealership in Tacoma let ** know that the battery was replaced at least once before, which lets them know that there was an issue before we purchased it. We have been in contact with Corwin several times over the last 3 months and they are refusing to exchange the vehicle and to make this right. We were told by their sales manager that they had no legal reason to help ** and they if we wanted help we would need to contact **** corporate directly. The real issue is they sold a vehicle they should never had certified in the first place.**************** Lemon law says that the vehicle needs to be less than 2 years since first sold and under ****** miles both of which our vehicle qualifies. We have requested that they help ** with an exchange for a vehicle that is comparable and they have refused. We asked for them to cover our out of pocket expenses due to rental charges and they have refused.We want them do do the right thing and stand behind the vehicle they certified and sold to ** but to this point they have been unwilling to help.
