      I called them to get a quote for a move for my mother. I spoke with ***** on the phone and tried to let him know all of what we needed packed and moved. He asked me how many boxes I needed moved and I said I have no idea ( as I'm not a professional mover) and guessed at 50. I don't know if that's a lot or not. I got 2 separate quotes, one for the packing at a range of $1139-1472 and one for moving at a range of $678-962. I politely declined and said it was too much and we'd be going with a different company who gave me a more reasonable quote for packing and moving. Never did they come out to look around and get an estimate or tell me if 50 boxes was too much or not enough. He only offered to call me back when I was at my mother's to get a count. After I declined, they emailed me asking how much I was quoted from the other company and I told them. Then they emailed back saying the other company wasn't licensed and was a "rogue" company and illegal and they were going to steal our stuff. They claimed an estimate of $1800 was reasonable. That *** be for some, but thats not affordable to me. They went on and on about how terrible this other company was and how they were an illegal company and that they were great. I never even told them who the company was. They sent me a link to a mi state police website to check if the company was legit and licensed and it is! They were trying very hard to convince us not to go with the other company and that they were illegal based on a quote alone because it was lower than theirs. I emailed back that they were out of line and unprofessional and even if I had $1800 I wouldn't use them! Who does that?!

      Hello, as this is all in writing via email, I simply provided the customer with a link to the ******** ************ website to check to make sure their mover was licensed and insured. I did not say her mover was not licensed because she did not provide me with the name. Therefore, I would have no idea as to the status of their license. Considering there are many "rogue" movers out there that undercut the companies that pay to operate legally and protect the consumer, I will always warn our customers and potential customers of the risks involved in not verifying your movers license. Those rogue movers cannot be insured if they are not licensed to operate, and this makes the customer liable if anyone gets injured on their property. I have also seen hostage situations where a rogue mover has taken off with a customer of our belongings. The risk is very real and most people that are not in our industry are not aware of this. What prompted my email to her with this link is that she emailed us letting us know she received a quote for less than half of what we were quoting her. Generally, thats a big red flag so I gave her the link and told her I would hold onto her estimate while she verified their license. This is a very negative and extreme response for simply trying to help someone protect themselves. In any event, her estimate has been discarded and I will continue to provide resources to our potential customers to protect themselves. I wish her well with her pack and move!

      You unjustly started calling the company I'm using a rogue mover without even knowing anything about them or if they're licensed or not. You went straight to bad mouthing them and using scare tactics to dissuade me from using them. Not the way to get new business! Very unprofessional! I'm glad you think you're not expensive but you are to me and my budget. Thars cool if you qant to try and educate people but that's not what you did. Even in upur follow up email youre still calling them rogue movers and ypu know nothing about them. Doesnt feel good when people bad mouth you without knowing you, huh?       Hello, I'm sorry you are misunderstanding my words. I implied that they sound like rogue movers based upon the price being less than half of what we quoted. Generally, (and I have 20 years experience) we see this with "rogue" movers. I became very concerned for you when you informed ** of your alternate estimate. We know our "licensed" competitors and we know that we are very inline with each others rates and our rates are average if not lower than most. That does not mean we are not "expensive" to someone's personal budget, but we are not expensive on average compared to other movers. At this point with such effort in publicly trying to soil our reputation for simply trying to look out for you, I would think the public, and I surely do, *** want to know who this alternate mover is to really know that they are licensed after all of this. Would you mind sharing that information in this platform?

      I would give zero if it was possible. I scheduled three guys and only two showed up. ****** the driver complained before even walking in the door. Then mumbled while walking through the house stating we weren't even ready. When we clearly hired them to help pack as well. They just left without saying a word. Manager **** finally called ** back two hours later stating they refused to do it because of the animals. He laughed when I got upset and said he can't force them to work. Never recommending this company and telling everybody on every site I can how rude they are.

      Hello, this is very unfortunate that you are taking so much time to bad mouth our company all over the internet due to your own unsanitary conditions. Our employees have seen it all, but know what they can handle and they will not stay in an environment with feces, flies, and an unbearable smell. They did in fact walk off your job for that reason. Your estimator called you after they left and you were very aggressive over the phone and swearing at them. No one here would ever laugh at a customer. I overheard the entire conversation.

      I was a recent customer and I had ********** do a residential move for me on Wednesday June 29. We had chosen ********** based on a friend recommending them to us as well as the estimate we received.To give a brief summary of what happened, we were given a cost estimate range of $1337 - $1679 based on our description of the quantity of things to move, as well as distance between houses. When the team showed up, it was 5 movers instead of 3 which was on the estimate, which was part of why the cost got so out of hand at the end.We did a walk through with the team when they got there and they did not seem to have an issue with the quantity as compared to what was in the estimate, so work began. Throughout the morning the team made several comments about how there was supposed to be 2 trucks, but someone had called in sick and we only had 1 truck. This turned out to be a huge time sink as the moving team had to spend a lot of time strategically packing the 1 truck to fit everything.I will skip to the end here, the final **** ended up being $3580.I can be understand an estimate being off by 10-20%, but this final cost is more than double the high end of the estimate. A final total of $3580 is absolutely unacceptable to me. I had to pay this in cash on that day in order to even keep the total at that, it would have been much higher had I paid with credit card.I honestly feel cheated like this was a bait and switch. I have reached out multiple times to the company. My email was not answered and the multiple messages I left with the admin have been ignored. All I ask is that ********** reach out to me and work out a resolution to this issue.

      Hello ****, my apologies that no one has gotten back with you, but I have not received any emails. I do see where you left a voicemail, but it was never transferred to me. Ill have to look into why. You were quoted for 3 movers and 1 truck. We actually sent 5 movers and 1 truck. There is no disadvantage to having more manpower. It is a higher hourly rate, but the job goes faster. As apposed to less per hour, taking longer. However, it was very good that we pre-emptively sent extra movers because the 5 of them labored from 9:15am-8pm at night! If we had only sent 3, your job would not have been completed that day. Note, our emails all state that our company reserves the right to send more or less manpower than quoted. The reason the movers were upset about not having a second truck was because you had a lot more than estimated and youre right, it is more difficult to pack 1 truck as tightly as they had to with that quantity of articles. The movers were correct in stating that the other driver, we were going to send out to your job, called in that morning. Therefore, we did not have any more drivers to bring another truck out to you. One of our movers had to drive his personal vehicle to the jobsite. Again, keep in mind that it was never intended for you to have this many movers or 2 trucks. Our scheduler saw that you had previously added ****** boxes, ***** misc, and a few other pieces and felt it necessary to send some extra help. In the information we email to you several times before your move, it states how important it is to provide your estimator with accurate information. They can only be as accurate as the information the customer provides to them. If not, we may not send enough manpower, truck power, and it may affect the price estimate. Your job doubled because you had a lot more than what you were quoted for. Ultimately, the movers worked extremely hard and labored for nearly 11 hours to get your job done and without damage. You were only charged for the actual time they worked, plus our standard travel time, and fuel charge. You were even given a discounted rate of $25 off per hour resulting in a savings of over $300. Unfortunately, there is no further discounts we can extend.

      I agree that it was a larger job than originally anticipated. However, we called before the moving day and gave ********** a revised quantity of items to be moved, and we were told not to worry and that it would be within the estimated range we were given. Also, when the moving team did the walkthrough first thing in the morning, the team lead said he agreed that we were pretty close to the estimated amount of items. One other problem I have with the estimate versus final cost is the time it took for the travel between addresses. We provided both addresses for the estimator and they said it would be a total travel time of 1.5 hours. The real result was that it took the team nearly 1.5 hours alone to get from the move origin to move destination, and they charged me for over an hour to get from move destination back to the ********** office in Royal Oak.All of this being said, I would still like for ********** to work with me on an agreement for some of what I paid to be refunded back to me.

      **Copied response from Google review**Mr. Williams, you and I spoke extensively about your job. You misunderstood the quote and assumed that it was for your move into our storage facility AND included your move out of our facility, but it clearly did not. That is not our fault. We went over it with you verbally as well as sent it to you in writing via email prior to your job. Both of your quotes came EXACTLY within range. Simply because you are not satisfied with the detailed explanation we provided to you, again, in writing and verbally, does not constitute being "argumentative". My receptionist, whom you first spoke to, was in the same room as me and I overheard the entire conversation. This was nothing but professional on her part. The next conversation was between you and I and it was a very pleasant conversation. Therefore, I am shocked by this review. Your move went smoothly, within range, and with no damage! It's very sad that we have to be reviewed negatively for an over-site that was no fault of the company. Especially when the movers did an excellent job. If there was an option to upload docs, I would be happy to upload proof of both quotes/final charges for all to see for themselves.
