I got a quote on new gutters from *************************** representing Tittle Construction. He was advising adding gutter guards. He measured the length and gave me a verbal quote. There was no discussion of color matching or when the job could be done. Everything seemed legitimate. He said he would send me an email regarding the estimate. No email was received. The next morning , a female from Tittle left a message to call them. I did not call them back. The next ******************** called and said they received my signed contract through email and he could come over and get a check from me or I could call the office and pay by credit card. I called him back to inquire what was going on. I did not receive an email from ******, nor did I sign anything. He insisted they had the signed contract. Later, a male from Tittle called and said they had the signed agreement and I needed to call them. I talked with ****** again and I said either you made a mistake or you are scamming me. I said send me the signed paperwork you claim to have . Once I said that, no one called back.*************************** has an expired builders license according to the *****************. I am a 70 year old female and I believe they were pressuring me to give money quickly. It was a bad experience. I would never recommend this company.

The quote started fine but the project was drawn out and unprofessional! August to December to replace the chimney flashing at a cost of $875. There was no inspection to confirm the problem was with the flashing. It was a sloppy job that took almost 3 months to correct. Several follow up calls were made. Appointments were made to come out and not kept. No call, no show and finally one day someone showed up without calling to make the correction. I was directed to call the office to make payment and when I did was told the account was going to collections! No invoice was ever mailed to the account address! It was emailed to me per my request and paid in full that day. So after all of that the problem remains.

Stay away from this company. My home had *********************** siding and stone work installed by these guys and we had several siding boards starting to crack over time. I contacted the *********************** company who sent a rep out and determined it was due to incorrect installation, not a produce defect. I contacted Tittle (without telling them they did the work) who came out and also agreed it was poor installation. Then I showed him my invoice and he said the company should take care of it but the owner would need to approve the replacement. They gave me the runaround and offered me a discount to redo their shabby work. This is NOT an honorable company so do your homework and buyer beware.

Today they came out to Pinckney to do our pole barn, a 1:1 replacement of the roof shingles and ridge vent. Come to find out, the people on site LIED to my mother to cover up a HUGE MISTAKE they made! We asked for ridge vent replacement, instead they boarded over the opening. When my mom asked about ridge vents when she went outside to check on the finished work they slapped on some roof vents AS AN AFTER THOUGHT. That was not what we asked, quoted, nor paid for. I am extremely disappointed that they talked down to my mother as she doesn't know the difference between the two and said that the roof vents they pulled out of a box were ridge vents. Liars. Do not go with them. On top of that they threw garbage down the ridge opening as if the inside of our pole barn was a garbage can!!! Water bottles! Plastic wrap! Shingles! NO EXCUSES. They used NO tarps for the demo work, and likely didn't do a good job of picking up / sweeping for nails. We have a dog! A puppy! If she swallows a nail, heaven forbid, because the people working DID NOT CARE, I would be so heartbroken. They ruined our pole barn roof and we now wished we didn't use them. The people (16 in total!) who they sent to us were not aware of what their job or scope of work actually was, clearly. I won't even mention that the dumpster guy had no idea where he was to put the dumpster and the supply drop off people almost put the supplies for the work on top of our house a few days prior! Very disorganized beyond belief.

if there is something less that one star, that's what I would choose. They sent a guy to give me an estimate. The estimate never arrived despite multiple requests. If they didn't want the job ,they could have had the courtesy to tell me. that is no way to run a business. Stay away from these folks.

We signed a large contract with Tittle Brothers last May 2020 for new roof, siding, two composite decks, remodeled 1/2 bath, pantry, mud room and 18 x 13 living room addition off the back of the house. A 10% deposit was given with the promise of construction starting in the fall of 2020. Plans were sent by the architect with a couple weeks and approved by June. They said they would keep us up to date as time drew closer to the project start date. In the fall of 2020 we removed our back deck and the rails and landscaping around the front deck, preparing for the new decks. We did not hear from Tittle Brothers and had to reach out to them by October 2020. They did return our call, said permits were not ready and they had a meeting in November 2020. Our hopes for a start date were put on hold. By late November with no contact from Tittle Brothers we again reached out to them….we were told permits were not ready and they had a meeting in January 2021. Again, very disappointing. With no contact in January 2021 we AGAIN had to reach out to Tittle Brothers…same story, they were not ready, they have a meeting in March 2021 this time….seriously. As expected, March passed, with no word from Tittle Brothers….reached out AGAIN. This time they had a meeting on May 11th 2021 (1 full year from our contact signing) with our Township board and we were given a time to attend. On that date my wife and I showed up to the Township board to witness our meeting. Tittle Brothers was a NO SHOW. We had to propose our building project to the township ourselves with very little preparation or building knowledge. Ironically, the Township approved all the work we contracted with Tittle and also asked us “are you sure these guys are who you are going with, they didn’t even bother to show up for a meeting they booked?” It was very embarrassing. Actually, horrifying. We contacted Tittle Brothers on May 12th 2021 to ask how this happened….on May 13th 2021 they called us back to tell us the project is “too big” for them and wanted to end our contract and refund our money. They did refund most of our down payment, minus architectural cost (for now useless plans). Only after a very negative review on YELP did they reach out to us, for the first time, asking if there was a way to reconcile and for us to remove the review. I said we have scrapped the addition and re-contracted all the jobs minus one…our 5 x 6 mud room leading out to what is now going to be a large deck. I said if they could help us and refund our full deposit (the difference of the architect cost) with that I’ll remove the negative review….after a month of back and forth, we were just notified they will not help us at all. This is a catastrophically mis-managed company. I am a leader in retail and I would never let a colossal failure on my watch go without major compensation for the effected party. A refund is where we start, then asks “how can we make this right?”….we waited a year with a signed contract and have nothing. Nothing. They will say Covid, etc, but we did bring this up when we signed the contract and it wasn’t a problem. The real problem we had was they never contacted us to keep us up to date and weren’t truthful when the did respond. We had multiple jobs, they could have started one or two, but they never did any work. The anguish and frustration they put us through over what was already a horrible year was brushed over with an “sorry…can’t help you”.

Thank you Mr Read. Seeing your online reviews about our company helps to shine light on how the pandemic has shredded our industry and several others. There was no playbook to guide us through this past year of events. And unfortunately, recent events had determined that your Family Room Addition was not an essential project and our hands were tied most of the way. At the start of the Pandemic we did form a nearly $100,000 contract with Robert Scott Read and Melody Read at 26450 Beamer Street, Harrison Charter Township, MI 48045. Since that time we've experienced several shutdowns, not only in the manufacture & supply sector but from nearly everything including city building departments which complicated obtaining construction permits. The Read family home did not have roof leaks or damage so we could not create urgency for approvals. Mr Read works at the local Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace, which is an essential business, and we appreciate his service. Mr Read had made unreasonable comparisons between his place of work and our industry given that we are not the food industry. Many of our manufacturers could not remain at 100%. Pricing and allocation on available construction materials were abnormal. In addition to the chaos, several crews had to be laid off as there was a long period shutdown. We regret we did not do better; however we feel we are doing what we can to keep men and women working. As the world is re-opening for business, we were making progress to begin the Read project. There is a struggle to get secure qualified tradesman. The cost of lumber and materials has tripled. New Construction has come to a stop due to the ripple effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We all see there is a housing availability crisis. Auto manufactures cannot produce cars due to shortages. We are all trying our best. There were delays with obtaining permits but not all the fault of our own. Mr & Mrs Read had wanted to add on such a large project & family room addition, that Spring this year, there were still requirements coming in from Harrison Twp building department before they could issue the permit including a costly Soil Erosion Test from an engineering company and variance requests that were not in the plans. Respectfully, we have since been forced to discontinue building home addition as a service. We deeply regret the hurt feelings the Read family may have. We were given the opportunity to make peace with Read family under their terms. Mr Read made a ransom offer to remove his poor reviews about Tittle Brothers if we would complete some work in trade of that. We explored the idea but again we were left unable to pay to the ransom due to not having available tradesman to properly construct his requests. Here we see Mr Read proceeded with his complaints as the ransom went unpaid. We offered to refund the remaining deposit covering the cost of blueprints in hopes to settle this complaint, but the offer was rejected. Before making this reply we tried to reach them once more at 586-229-3708 and 586-961-2443. We wish the family well and we are sorry neither of us have the results expected by both sides.

The pandemic does not excuse Tittle Brothers, a well established and organized business, from not keeping their clients informed proactively. Had they kept us properly informed throughout the year we would have had the opportunity to option out (if they even let us), however we were misinformed time and time again. The pandemic does not excuse Tittle Brothers from not attending the meeting they set up with our Township for our projects approval, which occurred nearly one year from the contract signing date. They were a no-show….it was embarrassing…we had to stand up without any preparation and present their project the Township board. I did not ransom Tittle Brothers with a project with the promise to remove a bad review. They ask us, basically, what would it take for us to remove a bad review and I said if they completed a mud room that was on the original contract at cost, I would feel they helped make a terrible situation less terrible. It’s an 8x6 room…maybe 6K on the high end….I offered cost….which was probably the 2.4K they were still holding and a little more out of my pocket. They said no, not me. In business, when we make a catastrophic failure, we start with a full refund and then ask “how can we make this right?”. Giving me my “money back” after a year without as much as one nail driven into wood is no where near making this situation right. After a year of waiting for them to do something and they doing zero, we are back to square one….having to start over with new contractors for every project they could not complete. They earned their terrible reviews….they made a choice. Update: most of the projects we contracted with Tittle Brothers last May and were canceled this May are, ironically, completed or under way by other construction companies, minus the mud room…a month since Tittle Brothers backed out.

This is one extremely happy customer! When Brad came out to provide a quote, he really took the time to understand what I needed, what my concerns were with this project, and the urgent need to complete this project quickly. After previously receiving quotes from others, I felt comfortable signing a contract with him on the spot. Within 24 hours of signing that contract, I had a date set - the next business day! Understandably, there can be unexpected delays, and my job did get pushed back - 1 day. Yes, you read that correct, my job was completed 4 business days after signing the contract. Speaking of the job, Brandon and his crew were awesome! With rain headed our way, Brandon had all hands on the roof, prioritizing getting that done before clean-up really began. If he hadn't made that decision, there's a real good chance that they would have had to come back today to finish up - the last of the shingles were being nailed on when the rain started to fall. And despite the rain, the crew did an amazing job of cleaning up when they finished the roof.
