BBB Concludes Investigation into Puppy Scams

DENVER, COLORADO —Better Business Bureau’s International Investigative Initiative recently announced the results of an extensive study into online puppy scams, analyzing roughly 900 Scam Tracker reports and 37,000 complaints submitted to BBB.

The study addresses the scope of the problem, and discusses matters related to prevention and consumer protection.

BBB of Denver/Boulder’s Director of Marketing and Communications Krista Ferndelli sat down with 9NEWS on Wednesday to discuss the study’s results, as well as what consumers can do to avoid pet scams.
