              On may 16th I paid for a year of internet email with forethought and 2 weeks later they said they were ending services July 7th. I've been reaching out to them for 2 months and did get a conformation the I was owed a refund of $90. I have inquired about this for the past 6 weeks and no one will respond

              We pay for 1gb/s internet speeds in our home. When setting up, the woman i spoke too essentially guaranteed wed at least get 2/3 of that speed, which still seemed odd but would do the trick since I work from home with my wife and am not n zoom calls all day. Over the first month, we constantly had issues getting kicked offline, loosing signal, and generally experiencing slow performance. I have a brand new Nighthawk router and have triple checked its not the router by using at a friends home and ensuring I followed Netgears troubleshooting guides. The router works as expected and always puts out a strong signal that can even pick up when we are walking around outside. I tried to contact Forethought support over 7 times in 2 weeks and left voice messages and emails, never hearing back. Finally during a work presentation on Oct 14, I lost internet for over an hour and just kept calling until a human answered. The gentleman who answered (call was placed at 2:59 on 10/14, they answered a few moments later) was rude, dismissive and made me feel like I did not matter. In explaining my situation, he interrupted me and just said you need to call the routers company and ask them to apply your warranted because thats the problem. He asked no clarifying questions, simply said its not our problem. I am on the leadership team in customer support at a large tech company with over $1b in revenue. Ive never had such a terrible experience. Im trying to friendly ask him to listen and actually troubleshoot he hung up on me. I was without internet through a critical annual planning presentation in which I played a large role. I finally got back in touch and a woman (***** I think) did actually try and troubleshoot and had me plug directly into the modem to run a speed check. While this seems like table stakes when working with a customer, I was just happy someone tried to see my side. She agreed it was not the modem (the speed test came back under 200mbs - 1/5 of the speed we should see) and told me engineering would get back to me. Its now been 3 days with no response. I continuously loose my connection and had to go to a ********* to do my work. If you are considering Forethought, while some areas may work better than where I live, consider that:- you will likely experience an inconsistent and unstable connection - their support team is ill equipped to troubleshoot and may even turn to a confrontational approach versus an empathetic and helpful one - they do not put their customer first I try to always assume positive intent when working with individuals. Maybe the gentleman I spoke with was having a bad day, or maybe he was new or filling in to a role he was unfamiliar with. I still believe that the disregard and disrespect he showed me has no place
