    June 2nd My first phone call to the Parker Funeral home, spoke to ****. I asked if they would assist me with the paperwork to file with the state for assistance to pay for the Cremation of my mother. He said yes. This was a main factor in selecting this facility.June 6th Met in person with **** at the funeral home. I again asked for assistance to file the state paperwork. He said he would get it for me and email it to me to fill it out. He requested I pay in full at this meeting $2209.00. I did. He also convinced me I need 5 death certificates at $15.00 a piece, I have not used one.June 8th- called twice to ask for forms. I asked the lady that answered the phone for the forms, and she said I would have to talk with **** who is out of the office for a week.June 12th left message for *********June 14th **** emailed forms already too late. June14 th- I asked him via email how do I submit the papers. (I supplied the email)June 26th no response from ****. I called spoke to the owner **** (I believe this is her name). She said she would refund my payment and we could submit the papers. She said for me to bring the filled-out papers to her on **** and she would fix it. When I arrived with the papers one of the first things, she said to me was, the state is cracking down and you should not even bother because they wont give you any assistance. **** tried to convince me it wasnt worth it. I explained that I am an only child and had to take a loan out to pay for the cremation and end of life expenses. When I asked her to file the papers, she then told me the truth, it was too late to file they should have done it before I paid. Clearly the owner does not know the correct procedures. It cost me potentially $2200.00.**** violated my mothers privacy by discussing any bank account she had with ************************* at Arapahoe County. The Funeral Home should pay for their mistake. I repeatedly asked for the papers and what the process was to request assistance.

    My father was cremated here 9/1/21 and we paid to have him shipped from ******** where he passed away to **********.When his ashes arrived they were all over the packaging the bag bursted open and ruined the velvet boxes for the 4 urns we bought, his ashes were openly all over the inside of the box it was very unsanitary and horrific to open this. The ashes spilled out of the box during the travel. Additionally we paid 195 for shipping and when he arrived the label read 75 We had to take the lose ashes and urns to a local ******************* to repackage his remains they said theyve never seen such a disregard for human remains and that we should file something with bbb We contact ******** at the mortuary she will not refund us, says she did nothing wrong and refuses to explain the 75 **** versus the 195 she charged us. Shes been unreasonable and uncaring She says no refund at all and really no apology blaming the post office instead of acknowledging poor packing.
