    I had service with this company back in October. To get the deep cleaning I had to wait over 6 months to get the service. At the time when I get the service I filed for dental insurance and I was informed how much my portion was and I paid that portion on the day of my service. Then after a while I got a bill from Associates in Family Dentistry when I contact them I was informed I have to contact the insurance then I contacted the insurance. I was informed by the insurance company that they requested a paper from ASSOCIATES IN FAMILY DENTISTRY for one of the procedures and they didn't provide it. I reach back to the ASSOCIATES IN FAMILY DENTISTRY and they said they didn't get that form but they will send it and it should be resolved. Now after a few months, I got a bill from ASSOCIATES IN FAMILY DENTISTRY saying the insurance is not covered. Shouldn't they have to talk with the insurance? Plus, if I was informed that the insurance will cover this much and this much I will cover at this time. Shouldn't they talk to the insurance? I was miss informed, they didn't do their part to rich the insurance. I try to contact the accounting service I was told that she left and they are not sure when she is coming back. I am thinking they probably charged me for unnecessary things.

    I am sorry that the patient feels misinformed regarding treatment. As we explain when reviewing the treatment plan with the patient, patient is responsible for the full treatment regardless of estimated coverage. As a courtesy to the patient, we only collect their estimated portion and bill the insurance for the remaining portion. We did follow ** with insurance multiple times, even sent a fax with their requested information.

    When calling them this week, they told ** that they did not receive our fax (that we send in January).  We did fax and mail the information yesterday, June 12, 2023 for proper processing by the insurance.  I did talk with the patient on Friday and told her I will call the insurance ask them why they denied the claim and follow up with her.  She asked for an email follow up. 

    This was all done on Monday as promised to her.  Patient did tell me that she has already sent a bad review to BBB. I told her that was unfortunate, since we hadn't spoken to the insurance. 

    We are doing everything to follow ** on this claim. It's out of our control when the insurance sends a denial. Hopefully, the insurance will process the claim quickly once the either receive the fax or the mailed information.

    Patient did pay the estimated patient portion at time of service, I agree.  The current balance on the account, should be the insurance responsibility.

    I was not informed that it will be my full responsibility at the time I was informed that insurance will cover this much and this much will be your portion . Few months back when I get the bill and call , I talked with ***** and she was the one who told me I need to call my insurance then when I call told her that the insurance told me that they asked for a form and it was not sent to them . She said they didnt get that request from the insurance. Then she told me she is faxing them right way and she is taking care of it . Adapter few month I got bill and when I call ***** answered and said she didnt talked to me at all it was another person who talk to me . Miss informed , lied and mistreated .

    I requested an email communication only so I have evidence who is saying what plus the lady I was talking that saying she is from accounting was giving me altitude and talking me down over the phone . English is my second language doesnt mean I am stupid . I do not need to be miss treated and lied .
