    While their communication is relatively pleasant, the expertise and service is lacking. I took my Nissan Maxima to them and they fixed everything but what I asked them to fix. Held my car hostage until I paid them $1700. I still had to have my car towed away. I then took my car to Nissan and had to pay them $5700 to repair everything Good Hands said they had repaired. Nissan stated there was used aftermarket parts on my car that didn't actually fit.

    Hello, we appreciate any business given to us and we also appreciate you through all this as well. When you initially made your appointment, you had mentioned your issues and made the appointment with me for a certain date. You decided to miss the appointment and then called to let us know you had someone else work on your vehicle and stated the vehicle is un-drivable, makes noise, and had a wheel that was "sticking out", also stating that the mechanic mentioned to you that he was not able to fix your vehicle. You had to then tow your vehicle to us after whatever the previous "mechanic" had tried to repair. When we initially inspected your vehicle, we had found that the passenger side tire/wheel had an incredibly odd angle with it, the vehicle was then pushed by hand onto our lift which was difficult due to the steering wheel being very stiff and not turning the passenger side wheel. Once we were finally able to miraculously get the vehicle onto the lift, we inspected further into the area that is affecting the steering and whatever work was done before coming to the shop. We were shocked to find that the vehicle had a bent and damaged rack and pinion assembly, which would explain the steering wheel not turning the passenger side wheel. We would immediately need to start by replacing the rack and pinion to be able to determine any noise or even test drive the vehicle for the initial concern. We also found that the oil pressure sensor was somehow broken and did not charge any extra labor to replace it. We took a further look under the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side CV axle HAD been replaced RECENTLY, looked new, and visually looked properly installed correctly. So there was nothing to recommend there and then. We did happen to notice that the driver-side CV axle was leaking grease and was recommended at the time, but was not necessary. After fixing the completely torn-up rack and pinion, aligning the wheels/vehicle, we were finally able to test drive the vehicle for the initial concerns. Upon driving the vehicle we heard and felt an odd vibration coming from the passenger side area, so we drove the vehicle onto the lift and removed the passenger side tire to thoroughly inspect the passenger side axle. We removed the axle for you at no cost, informed you that there may be a possible defect of the part YOU supplied for the previous mechanic and had installed for you, we then took the liberty to pick you up from your home, to be able to take you and your receipt of the purchase of the axle that you never found, to your local Autozone, to defectively swap out the removed axle. After they allowed us to swap out the CV axle, we also double-checked the part number to make sure it was an O.E.M part of equal or greater quality. (as all aftermarket parts are) We then drove you and the newly swapped-out CV axle back to the shop to replace the axle at no additional cost to you. The axle was replaced and fit into its placement with no issue. We test drove the vehicle, but we still had the same issue even with the new axle. At that point, due to what the prior mechanic did, we have no idea what else he could have damaged internally and would now need an even greater diagnosis to be able to fully determine what is required to fix the initial issue that was never brought to us, to begin with. We ended up fixing what some other mechanic tore and left. You decided to pick up the vehicle after paying the rest of your invoice and took it to a dealership that insisted this was all caused due to not having original dealership parts. If that were true, why would there be a vast amount of parts stores that supply these parts? Did you know, about 80 percent of independent shops use aftermarket parts unless stating otherwise from the customer or business they would like dealer-only parts. We appreciate your business and your time.
