Greater Works Companion Care LLC is not a good company you would want to have caring for your loved ones. I believe by far they are the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

While we regret that this client and her friend experienced a breakdown in communication with one of our employees, Greater Works, when notified on 5/30/21, Investigated the incident, quickly removed and replaced the Aide in question. All our care staff are thoroughly screened and handpicked based on their skills, competence, background and education. The applicant screening process at Greater Works Companion Care, LLC includes but are not limited to: *Clean Driving Records: *Criminal background check (in compliance with the State of Delaware): *Drug testing ( and Random periodic testing) *Ongoing on-site professional training: *Periodic performance evaluation: *Reference checks (previous employment and other references) *TB and Health Screening: Many of the clients we serve are on hospice, we know it's a very stressful time for the families, and we would like the families to know that the aides are there to help take the weight off of you, so you can concentrate solely on your time with your loved one. I'd give a 0 if possible. This business is operating on the dangerous territory of elder abuse. My friend is on hospice and dying of lung cancer. 5/28/2021 When I first came into the room the aide seemed pleasant enough, but I began to notice how loud she spoke; it was too loud for someone who is dying. She spoke to me as if we were best friends and she even invaded my personal space without permission by literally poking (jabbing) me in my left arm three times with her index finger. I could charge offensive touching. But my chief complaint is how she interacted with my friend, saying they were "friends." She told me the aide was verbally abusive and I can attest to that when she took her in the bathroom and the following actions and conversation took place: The aide undressed my friend but the tube connected to her concentrator was tangled in her nightgown. Instead of gently removing the tubing from her nose, freeing up the nightgown, and quickly replacing the nose tubing, she disconnected the tubing from the concentrator. As I saw it hanging there, I reconnected it and said she shouldn't do that. She shoved the nightgown to me and told my friend she would be back at 9:00 tomorrow morning. Carol said, "Oh, God." To which the aide said, "Well you'll have to put up with me, just like I have to put up with you!" This was completely disrespectful and I said in a louder than normal tone – but not yelling - "Don't talk to her like that!" The aide said, "Don't yell at me or I'll report you. I'll tell the people down at the front desk." When I said I was recording her, she was silent, and only then did she speak in a normal tone and not loud. 5/29/2021 (Aide's schedule was 9 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm) The aide signed in at 9:00 am but it was after others had signed in much after 10 am. She lied about her hours, basically stealing from the company. . Another of my friend's advocates was on the phone and said it was around 11 am when the aide arrived. She got no food for my friend and when I got there at 1:30 pm she was lying in her urine. The other advocate (the friend on the phone) came in the evening -the aide failed to show up for her shift, again leaving my friend helpless with no food and no way to clean herself or the bed up. This is ABUSE! AND I am not done yet.... 5/30/2021 The aide failed to show up this morning. Thankfully I was able to go up and clean my friend up and change her clothes and linens. I don't know if she'll show up at 5;00 pm tonight, but she will be ordered to go home. This is despicable behavior and in my opinion Elder Abuse. This company needs to be looked at for their dereliction of duty, if not illegal behavior. I won't stand for it.
