I moved into my home on December 10, 2021. I have been working with Insight Homes in resolving issues discovered after settlement. There are five issues Insight has not resolved. 1) Insight via email committed to replacing or repairing a damaged cabinet and now they are refusing to do so. (2) Insight agreed the creaking in my stairway was unacceptable, sent someone to repair it, discovered it was the riser causing the unacceptable creaking noise, and now refuses to correct it. 3) Insight on the initial walk through noted the master bath shower needed regrouting, acknowledge the need for regrouting on the 11 month inspection, sent someone to regrout the master shower but they had the wrong color and now Insight refuses to regrout the shower. 4) Insight acknowledged the leak in my garage was unacceptable, repaired the garage door frame, but the leak remained. The person sent to repair the door frame acknowledged the leak was coming from the wall. Insight sent a representative in June who again confirm the leak in the garage and indicated patching/sealing may be necessary. However, now Insight refuses to repair the leak. Via email Insight is now saying they will reinspect for structural damage instead of patching/sealing the leak. 5) My driveway has long and wide cracks that I have pointed out to Insight and they have refused to address. These are just the five issues that I know can be supported by documentation either in my possession and/or in the possession of Insight representatives. The email denying any further repairs to these items quote the same manual that was used to originally affirm and authorize these repairs. I am at a lost to understand why repairs that was once approved (all except the driveway cracks) is now being denied. In the ideal resolution of these issues, Insight would repair or replace the cabinet, repair the riser, regrout the shower, patch or seal the leak in the garage, as they originally said they would, & repair the driveway cracks.
