JUST SAY NO!!! I was stopped in a store and told that if I signed up and decided I wanted to cancel I would just need to call a phone number provided by this individual in my confirmation email, and I would be refunded any outstanding balance from the papers I chose not to receive with no issues. It's a simple phone call, and very easy if I were to decide I didn't want the paper after all. I made that phone call today and was told that my subscription was cancelled effective immediately, Wednesday, 1/24/2024, but I would continue to receive the paper until March 10, 2024. The gentleman that stopped me in a local store and talked me into this subscription was very clear that I could cancel at any time, and any balance paid would be refunded to me with no issues. Now I'm being told that is not the case, meaning I was lied to. The gentleman on the phone today acted as if I was crazy and that there is no refund to be given even though there are 45 days between today and March 10, 2024, and after TODAY I do not want to receive the paper, digital or otherwise. To say I do NOT appreciate the insane sales pressure, bold faced lies, and then implication that I in fact am to blame is the understatement of the decade. You should be ashamed of yourselves for deliberately preying upon people and then "providing" the absolute worst customer service on top of that! Never again!
