We had an issue with our dental machine. After several correspondence with the company and the purchase/installation of a part, the machine was still not functioning properly. A service request was made and after 15 days, Midmark sent a company out that charges by the hour ($165/hour) and a trip charge of $260. The man showed up late, in a dirty shirt, with no information on what was happening or what had been done or what needed to be done. After 10 minutes of explaining what was going on, the man identified the problem and fixed it within another 20 minutes. The part that had been sold to us for us to install on our own had not been programmed. It was then that I was informed that the minimum charge is for one hour. I called Midmark to discuss. I informed her that it doesn't say anywhere on the estimate that it's a minimum of one hour charge. They did not care. And why should they? There are few places to buy medical equipment from. This is a multimillion dollar company that takes advantage of smaller companies like myself. A $700 repair charge is excessive for an issue that could have been repaired for $140 if the proper information had been provided. I recommend that you purchase your major medical equipment from a company that has better communication, servicing, and customer service.
