i brought my 2012 chevy malibu in to check the brakes because i heard a grinding.....they kept it 4 days and told me on the test drive it was only the abs kicking in....i was charged $125 for absolutely nothing.......dont go to this place...its a rip off gg

First of all we checked out your vehicle and you thought you were going to get free service from your "extended car warranty" as you were inept of their repair policies , and i further explained to you how their program works and you said that was a rip off as well.

as far as what we did to diagnose your concern , we pulled all four wheels checked brake pad wear & rotor condition , ( that were in serviceable parameters ) preformed a deep scan of the vehicles control modules and provided you with documentation of said computer scan ( no faults present) we then test drove the vehicle not once , not twice but three different times with three different auto techs and we all came to the same conclusion after duplicating your conditions of the "grinding noise" you said you were hearing.
We tried contacting you daily and left you voice mails and you were the one that took 4 days to return our call. When you came into pick up the car I personally explained to you the scope of what we did explaining to you how the ABS system works in great detail also told yo that we in fact had 4 hours total in looking at your car ( which would have cost $448.00) and were only charged for 1 hour .
You seemed to grasp what you were being told and you made the comment that you were charged $125.00 for nothing ...... I once again corrected you , you then ask if we did other types of repair and said you had another car that needed a muffler .... I then told you that I felt bad charging you for us really finding nothing wrong with our brake system and offered you discounted pricing on services replacing the muffler you had mentioned to try to help you out.
I guarantee you if you would have went to any other shop or a dealership you would have paid much more than what you were charged at our facility.
After 40 plus years in the repair business I have learned that you cannot please everyone no matter what you do and you cannot take a "price customer" and make them a "value customer" We are like physicians , we charge for our time as its how we make our living , I used my 40 plus years of knowledge , tools , equipment etc... to loose $323.00 trying to help you and provide quality service.
Your demeanor when you left yesterday was totally different than what you wrote above in your review. If you would like to further discuss this matter our door is always open as it has been for 67 years.
