We moved into a basic rental home in April of 2021 through August of 2022 which was managed by Prestige. When we moved-out of the property after 3 days of cleaning between 3 people; this home management company is attempting to still charge us over $630 for a cleaning as well as $635 for painting. We have sent them pictures of what the rental property looked-like before this mystery bill was received on October 19, 2022. However, we had received our previous summarization of charges of $825 on September 28, ************************************************************************** would change. We then emailed the property manager ************************* disputing the charges on September 30, 2022, and a total of 2 separate emails were sent with photos in our attempt to dispute the charges. However, this email went unanswered. Then came the mystery bill today on October 19, 2022 stating we now owed $365 for a new charge; painting. This company doesn't complete the walk-through until after you have moved-out, and they attempt to charge an obscene amount for the cleaning/painting as you're unable to accompany them while the walk-through of the property condition is being completed. There are multiple reviews on ****** for this property management company which summarize the exact same situation. There is a large military community present due to the proximity to *****************, and they seem to be taking-advantage of many families by conducting their walk-throughs in this manner. We wanted to report this to BBB in order to settle this dispute as we have pictures of the original condition in April 2021 and to help other military families from doing business with this company altogether. We also plan on reporting this to the legal office on base as they're able to notify the military community of the business name so that other families may avoid doing business with them moving forward. We have the pictures to support our claims if needed.
