      We had an awful experience with LaZBoy in Montgomery . We purchased a couch on Feb 6,2021. At the time of the purchase we were advised that it would take up to 20 weeks to get the couch due to material supply issues. We agreed to that, as we had been to other stores who had told us the same thing. 20 weeks would have put the arrival time at June 26th. We had heard nothing by that date, but gave them another week since it was close to the 4th of July holiday. On July 8th we called the store to inquire about the couch. When our salesman, Marcus, came to the phone he very nonchalantly told us 'oh it'll be here in September'. I asked him 'why September when we were told June 26th at the latest'? but he could not give us an answer, just repeated that it would be here in September. At the end of August I went into the store to get an update on the couch and was told by the store manager that "according to our records it is due to be in our store by September 20th and the even better news is that it's in the cue for construction to begin on September 1st". September 20th came and went- no new/no couch. I called the next day, someone answered the phone, asked who my salesman was; then set the phone down on the desk and I listened to the chatter in the store for almost 20 minutes - no one came to the phone and I hung because I had things to do at work. The next day my husband called the store and spoke with someone in the business department. He explained to her that we had purchased a couch in Feb, was supposed to have by the end of June, then was delayed to September 20th and he'd like to know where it is, since no one has contacted us. She checked her computer and advised him that it was now coming in November! He then inquired about getting a refund on our downpayment to which he was told no, that was not possible. November came and still no news. On Monday, November 8th I went into the store again to find out where our couch was. I roamed around the store while the two people in the store assisted a customer in the back. When she left, they both went back to a desk and sat down, as if they never saw me in the store. I approached them and the woman greeted me and asked how I was. I replied that 'it depends on how you answer my question'. She told me she could help me with that and directed me back to the business counter. After searching for our account for several minutes she finally found it, then tried to page Marcus, our salesman. She checked something further, then said to me' - 'It's here!" then paused and said quietly 'It's been here!" I asked her what she meant by 'its been here' but she avoided an answer. Again she tried to page our salesman two more times, while commenting 'I know he's here I just saw him a few minutes ago!" She then printed some paperwork and asked 'so when would you like to pick it up?" and 'can you pay the balance now or are you going to pay before you pick it up?" I told her we could pick it up on Thursday, but before I paid her I wanted to speak to the store manager because I felt we were due some sort of discount for all the trouble and delay we'd been through without any communication from anyone at the store. Of course he wasn't available but she made a note on the paperwork for him to contact me and wrote my number down as well. I reluctanty went ahead and paid the balance as we have company coming for Thanksgiving and we needed the couch. My husband picked on the couch on Nov 11th from their warehouse but when he arrived home I noticed that the throw pillows that come with the couch were not the color I had asked for. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do about that as I'm tired of dealing with them at this point. I will not purchase another piece of furniture from that store ever again. We were understanding about the delay initially, but 39 weeks was ridiculous! This whole mess could have easily been resolved with just some good customer service and a phone call or two keeping us up to date.
