We left a 2018 Ford F150 for repair on 2/10/21. We were called to pick it up on 3/6 after repeated calls by US to check on the status. The issue was determined to be that it needed a transmission rebuild that Town & Country completed. We paid almost $5,000 for the repair. We reported to them on 3/8 that the vehicle transmission was still slamming hard into 2nd and 5th and dropping from 7th to 1st gear and would jump back up to 7th with a new development was that it was now slipping. This resulted in a stall at a busy intersection. The vehicle was dropped back off for service on 3/9/21. We repeatedly called for updates. Calls were never returned at all. We spoke with management. To our knowledge it was never driven until 4/14. Lesa, our case advisor, was never knowledgeable about what was going on with the vehicle; was repeatedly rude and hung up on us at one point. In talking with the manager, he continued to tell me how many parts they have in stock in a warehouse which did not help with our repair at all. We called on 4/22 and Lesa stated that they had reproduced the issue but still were not sure of what caused it. On 5/3, we called and the transmission was torn down and they were still trying to find the issue. We FINALLY received a call today, 5/7, that the issue had been found and resolved and the truck was ready and that they had driven it twice with no problems. The issue was stated to be scoring on a CDF Clutch drum inside the transmission. They installed a new drum and resealed the transmission. The issue is the attitude, the length of time of service and the fact that no one returns phone calls.
