National Advertising Review Services

CBBB offers national, children's, electronic retailing and online behavioral advertising self-regulatory programs.

Goals include:

  • Providing a fast, flexible alternative to government regulation;
  • Maintaining a level playing field for settling disputes among competing advertisers; and
  • Increasing public trust in the credibility of advertising.

The Advertising Self-Regulatory Council, an alliance of the Association of National Advertisers, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the American Advertising Federation and CBBB, sets the governing policies for our advertising review programs, which include the National Advertising Division (NAD), Children's Advertising Review Unit (CARU), National Advertising Review Board (NARB) and the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP) and Online Interest-Based Advertising Accountability.

All program personnel are employees of CBBB.  National Advertising Division, NAD, Children's Advertising Review Unit, CARU, National Advertising Review Board,  NARB, Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program and ERSP are federally registered trademark of CBBB.

C. Lee Peeler is Presient of ASRC and Executive Vice President of CBBB.
