    Background Information: The property located at ** **** ***** *********** ** ****** under ****** ***, was sold on 3/31/2023. The work performed by Campbell Heating and Cooling, which is the subject of this complaint, commenced after the property had already been sold on 4/13/2023. It is concerning that the contractor initiated work 13 days after the property had changed ownership. Summary of Complaint: I engaged Campbell Heating and Cooling to install a new boiler at my property. I paid a total of $3,558.04 for the complete installation of the boiler, as evidenced by the attached receipt. The invoice clearly quoted the comprehensive installation cost as $3,500. However, Campbell Heating and Cooling subsequently made unjust claims against me, stating that I owe them an additional $1,584.62. Violations: 1. Failure to Provide a Contract: Connecticut General Statutes §20-429 mandates that a written, signed, and dated contract be prepared before commencing any home improvement job. Campbell Heating and Cooling failed to provide me with any contract other than the one pertaining to the complete installation of the boiler, which was paid in full. 2. Improper Installation: Following the completion of the installation, the city inspector conducted an inspection and determined that the installation did not meet the required standards. According to the ********** inspection department, it is the contractor's responsibility to rectify any deficiencies found after full payment has been made, as stated in the contract. Campbell Heating and Cooling failed to meet this obligation and neglected to correct the improper installation. 3. Knowledge of Proper Installation Procedures: Upon contacting ******, the boiler company, I obtained a copy of the installation manual, online at https://www.******inc.com/downloads/ncb-h-installation-and-operation-manual-en. This manual clearly outlines the correct installation procedures for the boiler and was included with the boiler.

    Excellent job in just 2 days. Jaime came out and did the walkthrough and the quote was great. Complete new central air system in old house completed May 28, just in time for the heat. Dave and the crew were very professional and efficient getting it installed and operational in that short of time. Very respectful of property. Everything neat and cleaned up when job finished. Highly recommend their service.
