On May 21, I purchased my very first car at CT Car Co LLC East Windsor Nick (salesperson) sold me a 2010 *** ****** Nick took full advantage of my unfamiliarity with cars. This is the first time I have bought a car and was unaware that car dealerships can be dishonest. I drove off the lot on June 1st after I registered the car and took it out of the dealer. On June 2nd I noticed the check engine and oil lights were on and I was concerned. After three days the car started to sputter. I went to *** **** on June 4th so that someone could tell me the issues. Adam(*** ***** informed me that the car needs a new engine and anytime soon the engine will stop working, he found metal flakes in the engine oil. I called Nick, he informed me *** **** must have done something to the car and he is not responsible for the damage they inflicted on the car. I wanted to take my car back home. The car stopped working in the middle of the street and I had towed it to my apartment. *** **** did NOT create this issue. The car had issues way before. A secondary mechanic concluded the same issues before I drove it off the lot. Nick sold me a car that had catastrophic engine problems, he did not disclose this at any time. The engine blew after THREE days of driving, the car doesn't work anymore. Unknowingly and unfortunately, I signed a paper where I accepted the car “AS IS’ with no warranty. I accept this as my mistake although I would've never bought the car if Nick would have mentioned the car had problems. Nick must have manipulated the light's sensors so that way I wouldn't notice anything. I did ask him if the car had mechanical issues in the past. He mentioned that the car was fine and that they do everything for their customers. After doing a diagnostics to the car for a second time with a different mechanic, we confirmed the same issues. Nick only offered a free diagnostics to the car. I've done it twice. I am 20years old and live by myself. I'm a fulltime student. I want my money!

Just got done texting ct car company's live chat dept, very unhelpful, couldn't give me an owner's name, just Nick the manager who was not friendly or helpful when i stopped by...He wouldn't let me drive the 2003 Grand cherokee i was interested in and he seemed to want to leave at 1:30 when they close at 3...also, the **** was being sold with a lf fender not tightened down after being replaced, a hole in the exhaust, bad rear tires and rot under both rear rocker panels...not good..

I bought car on 6/24/2021. I was finally able to register it on 7/1/2021. I drove the car less than a week and the breaks locked up and wasn’t able to drive it. Called ct car co regarding the issue and said he’d be able to look at it 7/13/2021. I had it towed over. Nick said he’d look at it the next day. I had to call to get an update and said he hadn’t heard anything yet from the mechanic. I called again around 5:00 to find out what was going on. Nick stated they couldn’t find anything wrong with the car. Said they dropped it off to another mechanic to look at it and get an alignment. The next day I called again mid day to see what was going on and he had no answers for me. Called again around 4:00 or so and he said he can pick up the car the next day around 11. Again he had no answers as to what or if they found anything. Today I called again mid day and still no answers and Nick refused to tell me where my car was and that he’d be picking it up in the next hour or two. I got a call around 3:30 stating that I could go pick the car and Nick stated they didn’t find anything wrong with it and that that alignment was bad and the fixed it. I picked up the car and was handed the alignment paper. I drove home, the car shook violently as I braked getting off the exit ramp. I pulled in the driveway and turned off the car. Went to leave again and the brake light came back on and the brakes were locking up again. Nick had sent the car to Town Fair Tire to get the alignment done and have them look at the brakes. I spoke to someone there and they told me that they don’t do brakes and was never asked to look to see if there was a problem. I understand that the car was bought as-is but I don’t appreciate being lied to. Before we bought the car we asked about the brakes and nick stated that they were in good condition and that the front had new rotors and calipers. I will never do business with them again.
