    Absolute horrible service, belittled me, after having another company come in and saying nothing was done correctly kinda makes one wonder how he's still in business..do not recommend

    We were scheduled to service Mr. *******'s appliance on Friday, October 22, 2021. The appliance was a fireplace inserted pellet stove. Model Hampton/Regency GC60i, which we are quite familiar with. On that day, I was dispatched to the ******* home and arrived on schedule. Mr. ******* was not home at the time of my visit, but Mrs. ******* was. I disassembled the interior of the appliance as prescribed by the manufacturer, cleaned and re-assembled it. I then moved to the rear of the appliance. This involves pulling the appliance from it's inserted position. Once pulled out, I was able to gain access to the combustion motor housing, flue box vertical venting, convection blower, auger system and wire harness. These components are readily available for service and inspection at that time.
    The service was performed and the only major issue was that during the inspection of the chimney venting, there was a large amount of ash that had avalanched down the vent pipe and into the exhaust flue box. I cleaned this box, and took ut what I could from the vent. Upon clearing the ash from the flue box, I called Mrs ******* over and explained to her that we strongly recommend that they call a certified chimney sweep. I gave her the name and contact info for our sweep. She agreed that they would call. I explained that we did a rudimentary clearing of the vent pipe but thought there was more up higher in the liner. I started the appliance and watched it burn with no issues. I then departed the residence.
    On November 1, 2021, Mr ******* called and stated that the purpose of the call was to see why we didn't do the service that he had paid for. I told him that we did indeed do the job that he paid us for. I asked him what the problem was with the service and he replied "nothing was done" . I asked him to specify. He told me no "adjustments" were done, and that the chimney was not swept. I assured him that the chimney was checked and that it was cleared of any fallen ash. I told him that I suspected more ash up high and to look at the service receipt that had a written comment, by me, to contact our chimney sweep for a more complete sweeping. It is published on our website that we are NOT certified chimney sweeps. Our certification lies with the appliance. He then said told me that we didn't make adjustments. I asked him what adjustments was he looking for. His reply was "I don't know! There must be something you could have adjusted". At that point, I knew he was trying to re-invent the services that we provide. I again, reassured him that the service that we have been providing the folks of southern New Hampshire for nine years, was performed at the highest level, and ended the call.
