    Don't hire Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops unless you want to risk them ruining your floor and denying any responsibility. They do not take care of their clients. During the disconnect of my faucet for the granite installation, their guys somehow managed to flood my cabinet with water, which lead down to my subfloor and crawl space. Now, my 2 week old hardwood floors are buckling. I was not aware of the huge amount of water that was released into my crawl space until a full 24 hours later, when I found a fully soaked towel sitting on my wet cabinet floor. You would think that would be something worth mentioning to the owners. Rather, besides them asking my teenage daughter for a towel, we were not spoken to at all about it.  On top of having my brand new hardwoods ruined, the experience I had with the owner, Marcus, over the phone was astonishing. He interrupted, yelled, and belittled my needs about the follow up things I had asked for (before I was aware of the damage). He was very rude and did not display any care about the damage; instead claimed repeatedly that his company isn't responsible. Marcus told me to call my insurance company, that he was done dealing with me, and he would deal with the insurance company. I got the feeling he has reeled off this same spiel to previous clients. His employees are careless, and Marcus will refuse to claim any responsibility for any bad occurrences.

    We are very sorry Mrs. McRae has had an issue with water and has damage to her flooring. However, this is outside the scope of work we were hired to do and in no way related to our crew's actions. When we left the job site it was dry. We returned the following day, Thursday, as an added courtesy to complete a custom request regarding a water filter at the sink at which point the area was dry and undamaged. It wasn't until the next day, Friday, that she called regarding any damage. Mrs. McRae even describes her husband yanking the dishwasher as it was stuck on something before the moisture was discovered. We specifically exclude the reconnection of plumbing from our install as a precaution against claims such as this. We are only aware of our completed work and are not responsible for any damages that occurred after our install.
