Please beware buying used cars from here. Please have it looked at first through a trusted mechanic. This review comes after much frustration. I purchased a 2020 Buick encore Sept 17th. Days later it sounded like a airplane extremely loud. I call make an appt they say it needs new motor mounts and that it can be awhile since gm was on strike then. I understood. In the meantime I drive it out of town get back and its sputtering and feeling like it was going to stall. I call again and talked to Rudy the used car manager he assured me this is not a lemon and serpentini will make sure they get to the bottom of these issues. I take it in again and surprisingly now the motor mounts are instock. So they changed those and a sensor they said was the reason the car was idling funny. I pick it up car sounds no different. So I wait a few days to make sure and call again. Take it back and now they said there is an exhaust leak and they are replacing the whole exhaust system. And also this is all while I still have a temp tag on it. Now while waiting for the new parts the car is not wanting to start. Today car was taken in for the exhaust repair and they said the battery is no good? And want me to pay over $200.00. Funny that the battery was perfectly fine to pass their point inspection 2 months ago! and all the times it was at this shop after purchase. It should have been replaced. Beware of this place. I regret this purchase completely.Serpentini Chevrolet of Strongsville Response

We are very sorry that the customer encountered some issues with their purchase from us. After reviewing all of our service records it seems we have addressed all of the concerns the customer had with the vehicle, and it is operating as it should. In reference to the customers battery issue, the battery tested good at the time of inspection 2 months ago. With this being a normal wear item we are unable to replace the battery for free. We did extend the customer our discount pricing for the install of a new battery since the customer did purchase it from us 2 months ago.Review from Raymond Z

Buying a used vehicle is always a tough decision. The issues we had with this dearship- The listing on the CarFax website listed this vehicle with a remote starter, it did not have that. We paid to have one installed, the dealer didn’t chip in anything. The car had a bit a “hot” smell and the salesman contributed that to the vehicle being detailed. We conceded with that thought, liked the rest of the vehicle, and placed a deposit on the vehicle while we arranged financing with our own Credit Union, much to their disappointment. Meanwhile the cars price was reduced by 200.00 on the dealer’s website and the CarFax site. They explained that it was an automatic deduction by the website and we still had to pay the previous amount. The dealership would not budge. So we get the car, we live about 2.5 hours away, and the about halfway home the car has episodes of sputtering and still smelling hot. I checked the antifreeze and it was low. I made a guess the sputtering is water in the fuel. Anyway because the car was purchased without spending an additional 1500.00 on the warranty we are stuck flipping the bill for any repairs. Had to add more antifreeze and the car still has an occasional sputtering issue. Would not recommend this dealership nor would we ever go back to any of the Serpentini dealers.Review from Suzanne44 M.

Purchased a 2007 Saturn Aura with 120,000 miles. Had car fax that showed all oil changes and repairs. Serpentini in strongsville told me that they did a "129 point check" on vehicle, and it drove and looked great. (Obviously the transmission should then have been tested?) They also said they put "a lot of money in it " . Well...exactly 2 days after driving it, the code for transmission and air evaporate came on?? This was brought to their attention, and they would not fix unless I paid for it! I paid $5,000 for this car ( which was $2,000 over KBB) and trusted this dealership to be honorable and was really shocked that they refused to be responsible and fix this transmission problem! I know for a fact dealers can turn off these codes and sell, and i feel that they did this!! I have never in all my Years had a big dealership not care about their reputation!! And not want to correct this problem, at their expense!! I will try to return this car...but I am sure if they won't fix, they won't take back..shady business..I would never go back again! In the meantime..son is without a car to get to work! Please never trust them...Mario. the sales manager, has no scruples!Review from Brian A

Car was dropped off for a knocking noise that was noticeable when car was doing at least 60mph, it was under warranty. Car was driven and worker was unsure and wanted to keep additional day. Next day another worker informed the car was in an accident although never was. After disturbing remarks back to the owner they said nothing could be done, take it to a body shop. Chevy corporation was of no help. After being looked at by another, no mention of the accident, the car would be examined again. Car was at dealership 13 days, no loaner offered, just accusations. Called, told car was done, no notification. Was asked to pay storage fee, but nothing done to car. Not having use of car was a inconvenience to owner and family, no one cared. In the end took car and taking it to another dealership away from the area and this dealership. Do not trust, just a lot of BS.Review from Octavia H
