      Rip OFF. Refused to stand behind there product. I ordered 7 dozen candy canes (84) - 82 where broken. I have never had that many broken in an order from anybody. I think they where shipped broken. I purchased shipping insurance - SCAM - it meant nothing. They claim you have only 2 weeks to file a claim after your order was delivered. I received my order the 16th of November - they where closed over Thanksgiving, Called the week of 5th. Seems to me 2 weeks was pretty close. I have yet to see where there is a statement that you have 2 weeks to make a claim. It's not when you order, or on your packing slip, or on the selection page for the product, or with the cart. Really don't know how I was suppose to know... They would not replace or refund my money. I feel totally ripped off! The shipping insurance is a joke, must be their slush fund.

      Hi... It states in our terms and conditions that you must contact us within two weeks. https://www.oldtimecandy.com/pages/terms-and-conditions. We were closed thanksgiving, but were open friday and saturday of that week. Regardless, I have refunded your account in full.

      I am a consumer.....why would look under "terms and conditions" for such a restriction? That is my point to the complaint... you don't have any referral during the selection, in the cart for purchase nor packing slip that states any "terms and conditions" Its just a rip off. I will never buy from you again. I have bought thousands of products over the years and have never read any "terms and conditions" before purchasing. Any return restriction on return were clearly explained during the purchasing process, I didn't have to go look for it! And I don't know what your "industry standards" are as the phone call I made tried to pass it of on.... It really is a shame to me that 82 out 84 candy canes where broken, package by someone who ships candy every day and you don't have the integrity to stand behind your product. And you don't even care or know how they where packaged, that question was never asked.

      When I received my order, 13 of the 15 peppermint stick candy and 13 of the 15 s'mores stick candy I ordered arrived broken.  I purchased the shipping insurance.  When I contacted the company, I was told that 'We will do our best to pack it but we cannot offer refunds or returns. Unfortunately stick candy breakage is not included with the shipping insurance." The 30 sticks I ordered were placed in a box that holds 80 sticks, without any packing to keep them from rattling around during shipping. I don't see how this is doing their best to prevent breakage...very sloppy company practices and awful customer service.

      Hi... we have a warning on every stick candy description and on your confirmation email, stating that stick candy is not guaranteed safe arrival. Once UPS takes the package, it depends on how it is handled at that point. We do our best to package so they won't get broken, but when it's shaking on a truck and thrown around at the UPS terminal, there's not much we can do. The confirmation email also states that if you purchased shipping insurance to contact us for a refund for the insurance. *****************************************************  Copy of confirmation email: Hey, Thank you for your purchase! This email confirms your order. You can follow the status of your order by clicking the button below: View Order Status If you need your order by an exact date or have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or call us at 866-929-5477. We are available Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm EST. If you ordered stick candy, it is very fragile and breakage may occur in shipment. We will do our best to pack it, but we cannot offer refunds or returns. Unfortunately, stick candy is not covered by shipping insurance.       Says they delivered $60 order yesterday to my front door. I’m home EVERY SINGLE DAY! there was no delivery. Called their customer service and it said I “ was next In line. And then got sent to a voice mail. Leave your info and they’ll call you back. They haven’t. Sent emails day of supposed delivery and day after. . They still have not responded to ANY communications. NONE. I used Paypal and they are also involved on a claim to get my money back. I would be very Leary of doing business with them. They f’ing seem to be honest.

      Misleading information on their website regarding order and shipping timing; even with steep shipping fees and the caveat that shipping ‘may take longer’ due to considerations beyond their control (like the USPS; fair enough), they were very slow to actually ship an order; more than a week after placing order, in fact, when they claim on their site to ship next day. This is fraudulent and should be considered by anyone who has any sort of timing consideration associated with an online order. Customer service was unhelpful, certainly not a ‘100% Satisfaction Guarantee’ as advertised. Buyer beware - make sure you do not have a deadline for gifts, etc that is critical, or you may be disappointed. I was. This is my first and last order from this company; I would not recommend using them based on my experience with their customer service and business practices.

      Hi **** sorry you were disappointed with the shipping time for your order. I'm not sure what was on your order, but if it contained chocolate, it may have been held because it wouldn't make it by friday, and would sit in a hot UPS terminal over the weekend. You should have had a message in your confirmation email explaining that.
