Ethical behavior should be expected from every person, business, and nonprofit. Sadly, we don’t yet live in this kind of world. That’s why we celebrate and honor those businesses and charities that go above and beyond to exemplify ethical behavior. The Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics does just that: we point to Torch Award Recipients as prime examples of what it means to live in an ethics-centered community.
Applicants subject themselves to an intense self-evaluation of their business practices.
This self-evaluation is reviewed by an independent panel of judges, comprised of business and nonprofit leaders—many past Torch Award Recipients themselves.
See what we look for when selecting Torch Award Recipients:
The Torch Award judges select the Finalists and Recipients that are celebrated at our annual gala, where hundreds of local business, nonprofit, and community leaders join us. There, we recognize the important role ethics plays in our work and in our community.
