This practice is absolutely heartless! I had 2 of my cat support animals die at this practice and they asked me if I would like to cremate them. I said "yes" and they charged my account almost $800. I was making payments on the cremation but I received a VERY hateful letter from their office manager telling me that they needed my account to be "paid in full" and that they would not keep my two kitties in their freezer and that if I did not pick them up they would dispose of my kitties remains "as they see fit" and then send me an invoice for disposing of them. The ONLY thing this practice is interested in is making as much money as they can from sad pet owners. When they feel they cannot make any more money from pet owners they could care less if your precious pets are taken care of or not. I adopted a 2 month old kitty from my local animal shelter and he had a bad sinus issue when I adopted him. This practice REFUSED to allow me to have the kitty treated unless I paid my account off IN FULL! I live on Social Security and I do not receive a lot of money each month. It did not matter if I was making payments on my account or not and all they were concerned about was making as much money as they could on my sadness from my two kitties passing away. I would NOT recommend this practice AT ALL! They are totally heartless and are only interested in making money from sick pets. Stay FAR AWAY from this practice!

We understand the grief a person can feel with the loss of a beloved pet, and it is of utmost importance to us that clients and patients are treated with compassion and respect. When a client will not return our phone calls, and we can not contact them over many months, we may need to reach out via a letter or other communication. We wish we could accommodate any and all situations, but we can not keep pet remains on our premises for an indefinite period of time. Once months had passed, we needed to find an alternative solution regarding this matter.

I DID NOT receive ANY messages from Companion Care on my answering machine and their telephone number did NOT register on my telephone as a "missed call" In other words - they did NOT try to contact at all over several months as they stated. I had made payments over the two months after they had overcharged me for my pet's cremation but I could not make a payment the month they said they tried to contact me because I had an auto accident and I had lots of bills to pay. I would have shared this with Companion Care had they honestly tried to contact me. If they would have cremated my pets as they said they would they could have kept the ashes until I paid my account in full. They DID NOT need to keep my two precious kitties in their freezer - PERIOD! A very thoughtful cremation service for pets in **********, **** cremated my two kitties and they even picked them up for me from Companion Care so I would not get upset from seeing them frozen in a bag, They are DEFINITELY far more compassionate than Companion Care EVER was. Companion Care lies and is VERY heartless. I warn all pet owner's to stay far away from this practice! They are absolutely HEARTLESS!!!!!!!!
