Normally customer service is great but here recently it has gone downhill fast. They were fee-free with Allpoint ATMs but without any notice they decided to change that. 3 customer service representatives argue with me stating it changed but they couldn't say when. But their app and website still state Allpoint on their website. Shutting down account because of all of thisReview from Debra L

I have just had the worst experience of my life with a bank… Ever. I am 67 years old and have been associated with a bank since I was 14 years old. I opened a checking account w 5/3 Bank because they offered a $450 credit if you signed up for direct deposit within a certain amount of time. I called for help with this process and it took the bank over three weeks to call me back which made it too late to get the credit. Their response? “Oh well, you won’t be able to get that now.” OK but that was not the worst. Since I already open the account I put all of my cash into it at the bank last Friday. I tried my new debit card while at the bank - to make sure it worked. No problem. I then went on a weekend vacation with my card - and had no other cash or card. I went to another city and was not able to pay for my hotel, or food, I was unable to pay for anything. Fifth third bank has no customer service after hours or on weekends. But they left a wonderful message saying “Don’t worry - we will be there on Monday for you!”. I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am to have been in another city with no money for a car, for food, or for a hotel. I am closing my account tomorrow and suggest anyone think long and hard about working with a bank that will deny access to your funds but not provide any customer service to help you through that in that moment. I have dealt with this the entire weekend and now it’s Sunday night and still no help. I will have to take time off of work (again) and go to the bank to fix this. Oh yes… I cannot log on either. I am blocked from logging onto my account. He said it was for too many tries… I tried twice. I will never ever step foot in another Fifth Third Bank. It should be a sign when the banks slogan is “Making banking a Fifth Third better! “. This makes literally no sense mathematically, and should be a huge sign as to what you’re about to deal with.Review from Jeff B

Recently, I opened a new account with 5/3 as an additional option for banking. During the account opening process, I presented the representative with my check amount and inquired if there would be any issues. The representative assured me that the check would be processed within two days with no problems. However, after checking online, I noticed that the check had been processed for almost three days with no available funds. I decided to contact the online representatives for clarification. However, the response I received was scripted and lacked empathy. I was informed that my funds would be available in a total of 9-10 days. Despite requesting to speak with another representative, I received the same treatment. When I tried to explain that I was misinformed, I was interrupted and told that the personal banker was not obligated to share that information with me. I do not recommend banking with them due to my experience. I tried contacting my personal banker, but unfortunately, they were unavailable.Review from Kim H

We paid of our car in February. We moved during the loan period. In spite of the fact we changed our address they sent the title to our old address. After numerous phone call and promises to give us a release to lein we have had no resolution. Our next step is to sueReview from Terry D

The person at the bank wouldn't honor a check I deposited through a mobile app because it didn't say Paula on it. This resulted in over drafting my account. I took the check personally to the bank and the same man told me it didn't say Paula on it. I gave him my driver license that had my other name on it and after a screaming match at the ATM he said he would try to deposit it. Again screaming I told him it better get in my account. This dumb *** put it in savings, which I have never used, when my checking was over drawn. I hate when customer service says "I'll show you". Well they won't be my bank long. I had $6.60 in my checking account and they charged 2 dormant fees removing the total amount and closing the account. There were no warning emails or phone calls. When I signed up for the account it stated there were no fees. They stole this money from me.Review from Caleb L

Mortgage was sold to Fifth Third. Created online account and every time we try to log in it says the credentials are incorrect. Even when we go to "Forgot Password" and enter the correct details required, it says that info is also incorrect. This forces us to physically go to the bank to fix the issue but the same thing happens every time.Review from NOVELETTE G

I purchased a car and FIFTH THIRD BANK is the bank that service my car loan. The loan was paid off and I owe $0.00 on loan account #****. I recently received my credit report and notice that although I paid the loan 100%, FIFTH THIRD BANK reported that the account was charged off. This action from FIFTH THIRD BANK is harming my credit report/file. This is unacceptable and FIFTH THIRD BANK need to get this corrected or remove this account from my credit report. What FIFTH THIRD BANK is doing is a violation of my consumer rights.Review from Rosalind G

Hey I opened an account in 2022 around April or July. When I did Daniel gave me a ATM card to use until my actual card came in the mail. Daniel would tell how to fill out the deposit slip for cash back, I couldn't remember. This day Halana serviced me she told me I couldn't get cash back to use my ATM card to get money. I was very upset because how can you not give me my money. I don't carry my card on me so I could not get any money on this day. Three weeks ago my husband opened up an account today 03/11/2024 no card. I went to the Thursday 03/07/2024 but while I was there I said I'm going to ask Daniel do they still give out the ATM cards. He wasn't there. Halina another worker took care of me then I asked her and she said yes. I proceeded to tell her about my husband not getting a card while Halana was sitting at the desk. She told me to talk to her because maybe something changed. It's a real shame my husband has to wait on the weekend if he does not have to work on Saturday to go and withdraw money because she did not give him a ATM card.Review from Kimberly C

5th third bank is Horrible & I will hopefully get it refinanced through somewhere else very soon
