Discrimination against retired or disabled people. They dont like working with social security services because they cant garnish the checks. They are rude over the phone. I would never rent from these people!Pro Town Properties Response

*******, This is a false accusation that you are making against our company. We accept all forms of stable sources of income. You never even applied for a rental with our company. We rent to a lot of tenants that have Social Security as a source of income. Please stop posting incorrect information about our company.Review from Rachel L

I am a disabled person. I did not have proof of income ie. Paystubs. I had been looking for employment to accommodate my disability as I didnt want to apply for disability. I viewed a unit for myself and my child with the intent of paying the full lease up front along with the deposit which I had more than enough funds for. My credit history is GOOD. *** lived in the same place for 8 years and my land lord loves me. In 8 yrs there, I have never paid rent as much as a day late. My background checks are squeaky clean as I worked in a school teaching. First off they show these units open house style and tell everyone to apply with a ***** app fee. When I showed up, there were at least 20 people there. I was welcome to apply by signing a list and going online but I knew I wouldnt be approved because of pay stub issues. The next day I called and again explained my situation to a woman on the phone. She said it was their protocol that they needed paystubs to prove income. I very politely explained that according to fair housing laws they were required to accommodate protocols for individuals with disabilities and I was happy to provide legal documentation of my disability as well as the full payment of the whole lease and deposit up front, however they needed me to.She LITERALLY said they didnt have to do anything and if I had an issue with it I could get a lawyer. I asked for her name and She just LAUGHED at me and hung up. Heres the kicker; weeks later they were still ACTIVELY showing this unit. I had a friend check since I thought it was odd that the listing was still up with the volume of people viewing the unit and they (my friend) were still able to go and view the property open house style a week later.I suspect they are showing units and collecting as many application fees as possible. This is a predatory and cruel practice that needs to be investigated. I have spoken with a lawyer and am weighing options. I hope the BBB looks into this.Pro Town Properties Response

******, We do show our units "Open House Style" but our application fee is only $35 per applicant and we do accept all lawful sources of income here. We have a full professional office staff and none of them laugh at people and hang up on them. Our goal is to rent properties and we do a lot of that, advertising homes to collect an application fee is a silly thing to suggest. Also we went back through all of our sign in sheets and do not see your name anywhere on them nor did you ever apply with **. Perhaps you responded to a scammers ad or got the property mixed up with another one?Pro Town Properties Response

Professionalism was lacking. The Company states its 3 to 5 business days to process the request once all information has been gathered and completed..but the catch is..if each day you receive a call on information you know you have provided..it is 'streched' to another 3 to five business days. The Company doesn't do a good job with making sure 'all' he information is completed when you speak with them. Also, if you go to the initial viewing of the homes..please make sure all who is ********************************************************************** your ************ both sign the list..you will not be able to file your 'complete application'. The Company just gave us the run around! And it stinks because I kept my kids out of school not nowing what school district to put them in for 2021 to 2022! Its unfortunate things turned out Horrible! So, to all whom read this note. Please be aware of the Company..******* PropertiesReview from Arlesha B

Bad customer ******** hot mess of a company. Whoever process applications needs to be fired. She is a horrible liar and human being. She wouldn't know what the truth was if it slapped her in the face. I asked more then 3 times to speak with her manager and she refused to do so. So with that being said ******* and the child who answers the phone I will make it my business to make sure no one I know will ever rent from you and I will also be taking this to city your practices as a company are wrong and your employees are in need of people skills that is all."Review from James

Protown, after a five year lease without even one late payment (Even during the pandemic) charged us for carpet cleaning and painting. Both of which should have been normal wear and tear. The carpet was so worn the unit should not have been rented in that condition, actual holes in one room, long streak of discolor in the living room, and carpet strings showing in the bedroom. Even tough we complained - nothing was done about it. I can only assume they intend to re-rent with the same carpet since they charged us for cleaning. The charges they calculated were exactly the amount of the security deposit. Do not expect to get your security deposit back. Have any questionable issues resolved before you sign....Beware Report
