I had the team replace 3 water heaters in my home. After replacing, of the 3, one wasn't working right after a couple months and we even lost all water in the faucets that are serviced from that one. We asked Residential to come back out and look. They charged me $200 to come out and only said that the water wasn't working and it was unrelated to their fix. They wanted to charge me more money to fix it. We had 0 issues with water pressure for years before they put in the water heater and the issue was directly related to the faucets connected to the new water heater, other faucets were fine. So I said I would wait until the owner of their company got back from vacation so I can talk to him. In few days, the water just started working in those faucets. Probably something related to them soldering the water lines because they had to rework the water lines to install the new tanks. So I called them back out again to look as the water heater wasn't working as hot as it could be and make sure everything ok. They charged me another $230 to come out and told me that it would be another $350 to fix it. What? So since I paid them thousands of dollars to install the units, then one stops working within a few months, they want to charge me in total with the visits almost another $1000 in total fees to fix it the way it was supposed to work in the first place? They do not guarantee their work and I am extremely upset that they are charging me all this money for something they clearly did. Never had issues ever in the house before until after they came.

July 25, 2023 ****,Your house has 3 water heaters, 1 located upstairs in the attic closet. The other 2 are located in the basement in the mechanical room. The first call out to your house was on 1/18/2023, we replaced the power vent water heater located upstairs in the attic. Everything worked fine at that point. You called ** back-out on 2/14/2023 saying you didnt have any water to the kitchen and master bath, upon arrival we located 2 more heaters in the basement mechanical room, one was not working at all and the other was very old. The other water heater was about 8 years old, as I recall I quoted you a price to replace both heaters and you accepted.2 new water heaters were installed on 2/20/2023.You called back the following day 2/21/2023 complaining of a smell. We returned to locate a gas leak on a pipe to your log lighter valve, not anywhere near the water heaters. We made the repair at no cost to you.You called again on 5/15/2023 saying you were not getting any water in the master bath or kitchen. We again arrived and found low water pressure on both hot and cold water supply to kitchen, master bath and sons bathroom. Having low pressure on both hot and cold water lines indicates this is not a water heater issue. We offered to investigate further but you declined. We charged you for the time that we were at your house, less the service call. You then called back and said water pressure was restored. We arrived today 5/23/2023, you stated poor hot water temperature at kitchen and master bath. I inspected the water heater and tested water temp at the drain valve to be at 155 degrees, **** had set the thermostat to maximum temperature. I tested water at kitchen to be only ******* degrees. I then closed the valve on the gravity recirculating line and immediately got a temp reading of 155 degree.I believe it was due to a faulty swing style check valve on recirculating line. The check valve is older and was not replaced with the 2 new water heaters. I explained to your wife to leave valve off for a few days to confirm my findings.Water temperature fluctuation can happen anywhere hot and cold water come together, this is called a cross connection and can happen at almost any single handle faucet. I charged you for my time and findings for today. I had explained everything in detail to your wife as you were not at home. You then began bad mouthing Residential Plumbing immediately on all ************ with-out any conversation with me or my company. I have reached out twice to you with no response. You have a large house with many different and sometimes complex plumbing system and unusual circumstances, which take time and effort to diagnose. At no point was any of the 3 new water heaters not working.******************* Owner
