I contacted Ernie Peterson Plumbing to replace a bathroom vanity top. Their plumber came out and advised me to remove just the bowl instead of the entire vanity top because that would be a cheaper option. I agreed since I was worried about damage to the vanity. The plumber removed the bowl, I paid him $135 for that part of the work. He then told me there's a crack on the sink, I went with him to look at it and told him there wasn't a crack there before. He said, there's no way he could do it because he worked from the bottom of the bowl and the chip was on inner top portion. On the day they were to return for the 2nd part of the job, I called to let them know that I would like to remove the top of the sink since it's chipped, I agreed for them to send someone else because it was now a bigger job. The 2nd worker came out and immediately said the same thing, "how could he crack it if the bowl was removed from the bottom"? He went outside to talk to his boss, who agreed to the same narrative and told him not to touch the sink. I was left with no sink in my master bathroom for 3 weeks until I could find someone else to do the job. They advertise themselves as a full service plumbing company, if they couldn't handle the job, they shouldn't have started it in the first place. Why would I agree to remove only the bowl if there was also a crack on the top of the sink when I had the entire vanity top and could have just replaced the entire thing. I decided to go ahead with another company to repair the crack and replace the bowl. Because of their dishonesty, I think they should either refund my $135 or refund me the repair cost for the chip. It's a shame because I have used them before and also gave them business but they just lost this customer. Don't insult my intelligence!
