      DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their customer service is terrible. We hired them for a one-time shredding and they set us up for once a week pick **** I kept contacting their rep to cancel and she kept saying yes I'll cancel, but never did. In the meantime they kept coming and we kept getting charged for $2,000.00 a month. When I finally got a hold of someone to cancel, we had already paid $26,000.00 to this company for absolutely NOTHING! They only credited us $8,000.00 after I had emails showing proof that I had requested to cancel and that I was told it was cancelled. Then they had the nerve to tell me I can set up on call service for the future. We bought our own commercial shredder. They are definitely shady.

      I don't even understand how this is such a well-known and popular company. I reached out to schedule a one-time shredding service and it took almost a whole month for them to even SCHEDULE me (as in even contact me to set up a pickup time, not to just wait for the service) AFTER I paid! I reached out multiple times after handing over my company credit card information and not ever did someone reach out to me and schedule a pick. And yes, this is something they are supposed to do on their end. I eventually called and got it scheduled, but vowed to not use the company again. Some ** manager reached out to me and gave me some excuse, so I decided to just make it simple and reach out to them a few months later when I needed the service again. I figured it was a one time flop and since a manager contacted me about the issue, also figured it would be corrected going forward... WRONG. Dead wrong. Again, I've handed over credit card information and still have not heard from "scheduling" and it's been almost three weeks. I even called the ** number and spoke to someone and she STILL couldn't just schedule it herself. I was again told that someone would reach out to me. Obviously that still hasn't happened. The company is screaming SCAM.

      DO NOT use this company. If I could give less than 1 star, I would & I'd give them a negative 5. If you give them a number of boxes (ex: between 200 & 250) they will take the larger ******** you for that. They say the driver counts the boxes to be sure it's correct # ----- they do not. They say the driver stays right there & counts the boxes as they are put into the containers----- they do not. The guy was wandering around all over the place. They won't give you a refund for the amount of boxes you tell them was the correct amount. *******' rip-off's. I will never will use them again & I will let anyone know not to use them.

      Basically got charged double, and was given the run around by my account representative. Was told on multiple occasions that my rep would get this resolved, but kept getting threats via that Stericycle would send my bill to collections if I didn't pay them, even though they only did one pickup and charged me for two. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

      I called on 2/20/2024 and requested a pick up of items to be shredded. The person on the phone said the driver would call to schedule a pick up. I never received a call. On March 7, 2024 , I called again and was told the pickup was on 3/5/24 but the driver failed to stop at our store. I have now been on the phone 15 minutes trying to cancel the service. All you get is an answering service. I will never call them to try to business with Shred-It. I have now been on the phone getting the typical runaround. I am speaking to the wrong customer service and they will transfer to someone else. I finally hung up the phone.

      They have charged our company more than double and they were suppose to refund but instead gave me a credit, which I only used their service one time. They told me to wait 1 -2 billing cycles. I waited 2 months just to be told it was a credit only and they did not have anything down to refund my monies. They are the worst company to work with.

      I would give Shred-It a negative rating if it were possible. The service, or lack thereof, is unbelievable! I'm being charged for service that never happened. They claimed they tried to pick up at our business and no one was there. The building was swarming with people. Instead of just charging for the trip (gas and convenience fee), we were charged for the actual pickup of shred material. On more occasions than I can count they don't show up for a scheduled pickup...they show up when they want and then claim no one is here.The problems with this company have been going on for years. Of all the vendors we work with, Shred-It is easily the absolute worst - no question!

      HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This ********************** is the worst. They will overcharge you + charge for fees you've never signed up for! We tried to cancel a few months ago and they wanted to charge us $700 just to cancel. I again called a few months later to cancel, never got a response (I called + emailed about 5 times). They finally picked up the bin + charged us for the month of Jan twice even though the bin did not have anything in it when they picked it up! They overcharged us about $900 for 2 months of service! We requested for a dispute in the last charge due to us not being serviced that ********** said "no, due to our office signing off for the service" but they only told us that we were signing to confirm that the bin was being picked up! Never that we were being serviced. This company is dishonest & horrible with communication. It is VERY unfortante as we have been using the company for a while but now they are a complete disaster! We will be telling all of our colleagues at other dental offices DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

      The only reason I give 1 star is because there is no opportunity to give a 0 star. I signed up for a service where I would call them on an as needed basis. Then I get monthly invoices. After going back and forth with customer services and Accounts Receivable, I thought the issue was cleared up when they gave me credits, but no. Monthly invoices continued coming. Each time I had to explain that I signed up for them to come when I requested. On some occasions they showed up at my house-- ***************** is run from my house--, and reported that there was no one home so they could not pick up. I am always at home because I work from home. There were three pick *** made, the first when they came to drop off the container, the second sometime between the first and last, and the last when I cancelled services a few years ago and the came to pick up their container. In order to make them go away I did make payments for services I did not receive. Yet, I still got invoices. I then refused to pay anymore. After utilizing various collection agencies over the past few years they are still trying to get payment for services I did not request or did not receive. Three pick *** yet, in spite of the monies paid by the church and their own credits issued to the church, they say I am owing $319.11. How sad. I have since gone back to the old fashion burning.
