Called Honda City Chicago Dealer at ***************** to schedule appointment to drop off vehicle to address 3 recalls. I dropped off my 2019 Honda Pilot March 3. One recall to address a problem with latch, second recall was to address issues with radio cables and the third recall was to address NHTSA recall **V-858. For bad fuel pump. Honda bulletin # ******. I notified the Manager ****** that my truck had stalled three times, one of which happened in the high way exit ramp and I almost got rear ended by a vehicle. I also notified him of a noise coming from inside the gas tank which I was sure it was the fuel pump that was making the noise. ****** the assistant manager had me sign some paperwork stating that I would be charged a $165 dollar diagnosis fee for the fuel pump and that it would be waived if the diagnosis pointed to the fuel pump recall. I dropped off my call and took an Lyft home. I received a text the following day for about 5 estimates. One estimate was for over $1500 to replace the high pressure fuel pump. I called and talked to Assistant manager ****** and he notified me that they could not do the fuel pump recall because it was the high pressure pump and not the low pressure pump.He also stated that they did not have any parts available for my recall. He stated that I could only get parts if my vehicle was diagnosed with a low pressure pump problem and and that my truck had a problem with the high pressure pump and that I would have to pay $ 1500 plus dollars. I then started to ask him questions like where the two pumps were located in my truck. ****** told me the low pressure pump related to my recall was inside the gas tank and that the high pressure pump was in front by the engine. I than asked how come the noises were coming from the gas tank, fuel pump related to the recall. I told him to take care of my recall since I had had my truck stall three times and in the highway and that these symptoms, and noises from the fuel pump inside the gas tank were related to my recall.
