      If I could rate them "0", I would. They are very unprofessional. The scheduled time was set for 3pm. They showed up at 7pm with an Attitude. The movers looked and acted drugged up and drunk. They had the audacity to have furniture already on the truck. It could've been bedbugs, roaches or ******** in the furniture and appliances. Please do not go to them ******* AND SON would've did a better job than these trifling mfs!!!

      Client was scheduled for a 3-4pm arrival window and the crew was running late. A delay credit was provided. We did not provide a rate with an exclusive truck and the client signed off on receiving the service and everything being 'in apparent and good condition'. We understand the client is upset about the delay but her crew has been with us for many years, none of which would appear to be on drugs or drunk- it's possible the men were tired after working all day. Either way, at this time we don't have a way to remedy the situation as the client never informed us of any problems during the move. If the client would like some type of additional financial compensation for her experience she's going to have to contact us and file a claim like her reservation suggests.

      Family Moving & Storage, *** has very poor customer service. I moved locally from ******* to **********. I was given an over the phone estimate by ********. The estimate was for packing and moving. ******** quoted me $1,000. My bill was almost $3,000. They low-ball you with the estimate to get you to make an appointment. I did ask if they would do an in-person estimate. The answer was no. I also didn't know they subcontract the work out to other companies. I was suppose to be moved on a Friday. When the 1st company got there. They said they did not have enough man-power for the job and said another crew would come. They ended up cancelling 3 times. The movers did not come until the next day. I told ****************** wanted to speak to a supervisor and get reimbursed some of my money. She ignores the call and did not have a supervisor call me back. BAD SERVICE ALL AROUND - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

      ***** centuries of heirlooms. Gold, coins, 1st wedding gift. Grandpa, father, ******** husband's war medals, 300 year old family Bible, rosary. Grandmother's engagement necklace. ******** husband's wedding ring. My wedding rings. My diamond necklace and earring from ******** husband. 3 carat unmounted colorless diamobd for my anniversary gift. Professional pins. LV briefcase from husband. ******** Moms wedding ring. Rolex I got from my family when I got my degree. 200 year old Grandpa's 18g wedding ring. The baby's rings. Things left to our children who never even remember their dad from him. He had engraved lockets and tags for them. His dog tag that xane home, kids never met ******** grandparents. $300,000 estimate. No insurance. Don't care about $$$ can never get back all my family memories. As a result of a total breakdown, I could never emotionally recover. Destroyed me. Lost all the family, and then all their memories. Company just laughed. Blocked me. All ALLEGEDLY of course. Why? How could ANY HUMANBEING BE SO CRUEL. Oh ****** and the boys didn't even get *****. They even untaped a coin I had taped in a card and sent to my husband. It had been returned in a **** ***, but the crew decided it was more important to untape and *****. All for what. I gave them a huge tip not knowing it was all gone. There was NOT ONE SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE THEY DID NOT BREAK, SCRATCH, LOSE PIECES TO. Broke the china dishes, Hummels gifts from my ******** mom. As I'm mostly bedridden, I'll never know the full extent of what they *****. Allegedly

      This company to say the least does not deserve 1 star. I booked this company on 10/20/2022 to move me on 11/5/2022. According to the contract the services comes with 1 Truck and 3 men at $135.00 an hour for 4 hours totaling $645.00. I moved only 5 blocks away and granted that I was on the 3rd floor at both locations I was under the assumption that when you're asked prior to being provided your contract what floor you're being picked up from and what floor would your destination be on. To my surprise I was told by the movers after the job was done that I have to tip each guy $50 totaling $150.00 which was no where in there contract about gratuity not to mention that I was told verbally by the movers (*****) that normally the tip is $75.00 -$100.00 per person but I was given a discount at $50.00 per person. I reached out yo the manager ******** on 11/7/2022 to question this tip that I was made to feel that it was mandatory to tip these 3 men at minimum $50 each. The response I received back from ******** on 11/11/2022 that she spoke with the crew and they were put on an administrative leave but there was nothing she could do about reimbursing me any parts of my money she offered a $25.00 gift card which is now 11/21/22 and this gift card has yet to come. Fast forward my move to yesterday when something new was discovered. I learned that my son's bed was falling in and yo my surprise I lifted up his mattress and box spring to learn that his bed was not properly assembled by the movers all the nails attached to his bed and frame was missing. I've emailed ******** the same night this was discovered 11/20/2022. I received a response from them but nothing from ********. I sent pics to them all they could say is they can reimburse me $20.00 to replace the screws in my bed I've informed them that this is unacceptable, and unprofessional. I paid them $710 for the actual move because it went over 30 minutes and gave an additional $150.00 for gratuity totaling $860.00.

      Received a quote from this company of 450 to move from a house to a 1 bedroom Apt. They said it would take 4 hrs to move me. So set a date to start early in the morning 8AM. I figured I could settle into new place in the afternoon. No-one showed up. Called receptionists who said they would be there shortly they were out late last night moving someone else. I called numerous times only to be told they will arrive soon. 5hrs later they finally showed up. 3 guys came in to carry out and wrap the items I pointed out. Manager and one of the short guys worked very hard at moving the items to the truck. I helped them move items so they would minimize the trips back and forth and to try and get this move done! One guy seemed to always disappear Manager kept asking where he was? It took them a long time to arrange the items in the 26 foot truck. Finally at 8PM in the evening we were on our way to new place. We arrived at apt as the sun was setting over the horizon. Manager asked for upfront payment in cash before anything was pulled from the truck. To my shock they charged **** for the move. Signed all the papers paid in cash but received no final paid invoice. Luckily I was on the 1st floor as all items could be moved thru the balcony. We did not get done moving me in until midnight. The over charges and lack of being on time added unneeded stress to a move that should have gone smoothly. At the end manager pressed for a tip for the guys I told him I wasn't expecting to withdraw this amount of cash so only had 20 left for each of the 2 guys. I called for 2 months trying to get a final invoice them saying it would be available but kept being blown off. Lack of invoice I wont get reimbursed from my company. Definitely read the rest of the online reviews I would never recommend this company period! Stay away 100%.

      I used this company to move my furniture and other items to a new apartment. I was given a quote of $1000 and was told that the movers would show up on the date of the move between 12noon and 2 pm with a 26-foot truck. The movers did not show up until after 4 pm and they had with them a 20ft truck. So they had to call in another crew (in addition to the crew that showed up after 4pm who didn't arrive until 6:30pm. So they stopped loading at 10 pm saying that they still needed to load more things but were too tired to do so until the next morning. This caused me to be charged another truck fee. In addition to this, one of the movers made advances on my partner which caused her great emotional trauma. All in all, I ended up paying $3000 for my move (after being hard-pressed for a large tip for the movers) and charged for boxes and tape -- which were nowhere stated as items I had to pay for in my contract.. These movers do not accept credit cards, so there is no way one can get your credit card company to dispute their charges or stop payment.. I wish I had searched out reviews of this company before choosing them. I had asked them to send someone out to look at my belongings so that I could have an accurate assessment of how much they were going to charge me, but they wouldn't do this.

      Wow! One of the most incompetent, spineless, sleazy companies I've ever encountered. It's almost comical how poorly this company is run.My girlfriend booked her move with them and I guess didn't take the time to read enough reviews. I was working the day she was moving and Family Moving Company was scheduled to do the move between noon and 2pm. At 12:30pm she called them to find out why they hadn't shown up yet - they told her that ****pm was actually "the window" when they'd be arriving, not when the move would actually be happening. That's reasonable she thought, and sat and waited another hour and half before calling them again. This time, the movers said that their first move of the day had gone long, and they were 30 minutes away. My girlfriend waited another 2 hours, and AGAIN they told her they were on their way, but stuck in traffic. THIS HAPPENS TWO MORE TIMES. When I finally get home from work about 9pm, she's in tears and STILL WAITING. I strongly suggested that she just cancel them, and hire another moving company the next day, but she just wants to get it done - which I guess is fair. She calls the movers again ... "there's been an accident on the road in front of them, but they're on their way." They finally show up, TEN AND A HALF HOURS LATE. This HAS to be a new record, even for them. It's 10:30pm and the three movers who show up are visibly too tired to perform this move. After giving my girlfriend the paperwork to fill out and explaining that there would be some EXTRA CHARGES for tape and shrink-wrap, they very slowly start the move... well... not so much moving stuff, as taping boxes to other boxes, almost all of which they had to then take apart again, because they were too heavy for them to move once taped together. Of course they don't have tape guns (these movers are paid by the hour keep in mind), they have loose rolls of tape - I watched in sheer amazement as one of the movers spent no less than 5 minutes taping two boxes

      I hired Family Moving & Storage to move me to my new home. I only had a few pieces of furniture but had a lot of boxes. The two men were efficient - I have no complaints about them. However, when it came time to pay, my total was way over the estimate. When I asked why, he said that they had to wrap my tv - that was extra. They had to wrap some furniture - that was extra. They used tape - that was extra. Family Moving & Storage should have been more upfront when giving me an estimate.

      We had the worst experience with them and left a review last year when we moved. The only had two movers working, one stood there and complained that he was supposed to be off, and they were 4 hours late. They ruined some of our stuff. They charged us over double and harassed me to signed the **** which we found out later locked us in legally to their outrageous price for services we did not receive that were promised. The reason for the 2nd review is to post how you can go about taking legal action. You do have to file a claim with them first and try to resolve it, which took us over 6 months and we did not agree. Move was supposed to be around $700 and they charged us over $1400. They offered us $150, and in the end that is all we got as we signed the paperwork with them. Do not sign paperwork if you did not get the service you promised! There is legal action that will hold them liable and as you can see on here, they have screwed so many people over.
